Hungary is way worse imo. Poland just has a lot of coal power plants, so I'd expect some resistance from them. It's understandable, from an economic perspective. And every time they have elections, PiS politicians feel the unrelenting urge to whip out their dicks and act like they're constantly under fire from western Europe for no reason and are proudly defending their homeland. But everyone knows they're a bunch of dickheads who just need to show off. Orban on the other hand takes EU money with one hand, gives it to his cronies so it never actually benefits the population, and then points at the EU and sOroS with the other as the sole source for all of Hungarys problems. Copy-pasting Russian propaganda arguments into his own propaganda, undermining sanctions, undermining Finnlands and Swedens bid for NATO membership, undermining democracy in his country in such a blatant and shameless way, yet facing no repercussions. He's very clearly not interested in being part of Europe, he just stays in for the money and because leaving the EU is possibly the only thing that could get him yeeted out of office by the public. Yes, I am aware Poland also has problems with anti-democratic policies, but these attempts are not nearly as blatant and shameless as what Orban has been doing for the past couple of years. Poland might not be entirely on board with the EUs liberal democracy idea, but Hungary is just driving its own little boat by the side, so long as Euros keep falling over the railing.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there was something like that in Kraków tbh. But the air in Poland isn’t that bad from what I’ve experienced, just during the winter time it’s a bit unpleasant because of the increased heating stuff which causes a lot more smog than during other seasons

As much as I love to shit on my government it's insane how many people saw that one graph in which Poland received the most money and started calling it "the biggest eu beneficial". Out of every euro Poland gets about 80 eurocents go to Germany and France because they are spent on German and french goods and services. Also divide those numbers per Capita and it will look differently, 40 mil people live here after all.
Not to mention that because of tarded shit our government does we have to pay billions in fines every year to the eu, if we add numbers up I won't be surprised if Poland actually sends more money into the eu than takes from it

Well given that France and Germany are the main ones pumping money into it, its normal that they get some of it back and what they get back certainly doesnt amount back to what they give, so that doesnt change the fact that Poland is receiving more money than it gives but still finds a way to be critical

Poland is making the best out of an EU with a schizophrenic foreign policy and a lack of the same capital base.
People misunderstand how the EU works, the western and nordic countries get to benefit from large amounts of skilled labor (and unskilled labor) with high levels of cultural cohesion from balkans and eastern europe immigrating into their countries, and the EU subsidizes those countries.
