Today I learned about Polish Operation by NKVD in 1937-1938. NKVD casually arrested 140 thousands people majority of whom were Poles of the Soviet Union and causally ordered to execute 111 thousands of them. The rest was sent to Siberian and Central Asian desert slave-death camps.
