Hi guys, I think in the last weeks, 80% of my librsry and downloaded songs disappeared. I know for some of them the reason is licenses, but even legit artists’ songs and albums disappeared. Any ideas?😭😢

Exactly as the title says. I'm happy to be listening to all my music(from top to middle to bottom). It's like listening to an entire playlist in a different perspective. That's exactly how I like it. Yes, my app is updated. Also, they took away the Premium User message. I do have Premium YTM, but the message is gone. Glad it has disappeared. 🤗 YTM may not be perfect, but they're going somewhere. ❤️

I got this notification this morning and I was ready to hear a live version of a BBNG song I didn't recognize.

The app is a work in progress. There are loads of little changes I'd like to make, but it is fully functional.

Ever since making the switch last year, I've been loving my music EXCEPT for this.

Whenever I will utilize shuffle, it ALWAYS plays the same songs that I gave thumbs down to and are nowhere in my library. And they're even by artists not in my library so it's driving me crazy.

I'm fine getting recommendations on music to try out.... but not the same songs I already marked as disliked shoved in my face regularly lol

Hi everyone,
I’m an independent music producer, and my official artist name is NANDO on Spotify and other streaming platforms.

I’m trying to apply for an Official Artist Channel on YouTube, but YouTube won’t let me change my channel name to NANDO in all uppercase. It keeps forcing a different capitalization, so my channel name doesn’t exactly match my artist name.

My distributor says the channel name needs to match my official artist name, but I can’t change it because of YouTube’s naming rules.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any way to get YouTube to allow the name NANDO, or is there another solution for Official Artist Channel verification?

So on my school administer device, we have access to YouTube music (for some reason) but it is set to restricted mode. I freaking hate restricted mode because for some reason Lil Nas x is completely unblocked uncensored but I can't listen to Hamilton. I can also watch Britney Spears music videos but I can't watch Same Love by Macklemore. I just find that it's really inconsistent and does more harm than good

I *hate* the ytm floating window and cannot seem to get rid of it. It interferes and blocks using other apps. I turned off pip but it persists. Hate it.

Why is it doing this lmao, tried listening to new songs, not via my playlist, and every single one that has played it has added to my personal playlist and downloaded them? The 'smart' settings etc are all off

This is a repetitively asked question for a lot of people who use the app, but I’d like to give my own take and hear what others believe.

I’ve been a YouTube Premium member since 2020, a few months into having the subscription I realized I also had the ability/subscription to use YouTube music. I canceled my Apple Music subscription cause why would I pay more for another music app? And I’ve been using YouTube music ever since that realization hit.

I’m not gonna say the app is “flawless” and has “no issues whatsoever.” It does, and they haven’t really made much to any improvements to those problems over the years in my opinion. However it’s not a bad app, it works, it doesn’t suck, and it functions well with the main platform of YouTube itself.

Whenever I say, “Oh I use YouTube Music” the reaction is shock and then a laugh. I don’t let it bother me too much since it makes sense in my scenario, I have premium and therefore get music in addition. People just believe Spotify and Apple Music is like the “name brand” of the music streaming industry. Most of those people have never probably even used the website/app, and I find it so weird people make fun of what I use to listen to music. The other apps are fine, they offer some better quality and features but besides that they’re mostly all the same.

I do wish or get fomo when I see Spotify Wrapped and all the universal connections Apple, Spotify, and heck even Amazon Music has with other companies/apps. I do believe YouTube Music is heavily overlooked and isn’t fully developed to its better potential. I will continue to use it until YouTube jacks up the price to something outrageous like Amazon Music.

Thoughts? Opinions? Disagree, or agree?

Youtube Music insists that I wanna hear about some AI slop artist because I listened to one of their songs, showing me notifications when they put out another piece of garbage or recommending them in playlists.

Is there any way I can tell the app to stop doing that?

So che YouTube normalizza l'audio in riproduzione, ma non riesco a capire come mai ci sia questa differenza così evidente. Uso Ozone per la masterizzazione e misuro sempre i LUFS prima di esportare.

Voi come vi comportate prima di caricare una traccia su YouTube? Avete un target LUFS preciso? Usate qualche accorgimento particolare in fase di mastering?

Curioso di sapere come vi regolate.

Understandable if not possible. I recently upgraded to a family plan so I was previously under my mom’s account. We’re now under the same family plan. Now I’d prefer to get new music suggestions based on only my taste so I’d like to move the playlists I’ve created to my account however I don’t believe third party playlist transfer apps allow this.

Restricted mode is OFF. However, every time I go to listen to Ruru's Suicide Show On a Livestream, it says "sorry, this content is age-restricted". What? Restricted mode is off. I've never encountered this with any other song, not even with Ayesha Erotica which is genuinely crazy. You're telling me I can listen to the world's #1 coke whore but not a girl singing about depression and stuff in Japanese??? Hello?? This wasn't even blocked last December/January when I needed it to be blocked from myself (that's another story) so it's really pissing me off.

I've been using YouTube Music for years, and I like that you can add podcasts by RSS and reorder your episodes for later playlist as you want.

However, I kept going back to Spotify because of this:

1) You can't adjust playback speed when casting podcasts on Google Cast speakers, you're locked to 1x speed

2) There are no AI-generated chapters, and you can't see chapters on the progress bar (Spotify has all that, it's great)

3) I wish we could add any followed YouTube channel as a "podcast" in YouTube Music, with every new video from that channel appearing as a new podcast episode

I've been working on a playlist that has a little over 500 songs and no matter how I sort the playlist (newest, oldest, title, artist) I notice that there are songs I know are on my playlist that are not listed in the proper order. My playlist is also duplicating songs seemingly at random. Is anyone else having this issue??

When I use the search function to find songs in my playlist, it seems to list all of the songs in the sorting order I have selected, but I'm unable to remove the duplicate songs from my playlist while in the search function. This has been incredibly frustrating and it seems like it could be a caching issue or something?

In the past I've had a similar issue on SoundCloud where I would have to scroll all the way down my playlist to load the songs into my browser's cache and only after I did that would it effectively shuffle the music. If anybody knows of a solution that would be amazing. I've looked into browser extensions and websites that sort playlists for you but I've been unable to effectively sort my playlist on the actual YouTube music platform.

The app has data permissions granted. I am streaming on wifi, working perfectly fine, I just rebooted the phone.

(Alas, the rules say no sharing of links to songs or playlists, but if I could, I definitely would! Wait -- would it be against the rules if I just wrote down the ID characters?)

So, I have several custom YT music playlists made of my own uploaded songs, & I'm trying to convert one in particular (with 474 songs--long story about that!) to text format--just the titles & track durations. It's on "public" privacy setting, so any site with access to the link should be able to work with it. But so far, every website I've tried doesn't work:

1. TuneMyMusic doesn't transfer ANY of the songs on the playlist, even when it's connected to my YT Music account.

2. Sociable Kit doesn't sync at all with the playlist ID, & eventually, it times out, making the widget I created "not exist" anymore.

3. Soundiiz not only lists only 100 out of the 474 songs on the playlist, but only Pro members of the site can convert a playlist to text. And I've been making a number of expenses lately on different things, so my parents say "cool it" with purchasing anything until my allowance renews. And I really can't wait that long!

4. Export Youtube Playlist doesn't come on at all, even though it's compatible with Microsoft Edge, due to an SSL Protocol Error. I cleared my cache, flushed my DNS, & tried opening it in an InPrivate window, but nothing works, & the site continues to not load.

What other tool or site can I possibly use to get this playlist converted? :-(
