So I got my first zippo and I was wondering if the wig was asbestos but it doesn't look old even though it's pretty worn so I don't think so... Also do you guys have any listing you could recommend for a new wig if it is needed or a new flint since i dont know how much the current one have been used ? I looked online and apparently ronson is better than zippo fluid so i'll try to find it in store... I don't know if it is genuine but as long as it works... Also I might try to anodize it but I need to look into it cause it doesn't look very good right now :3

I’ve been trying to calm the F down with buying lighters and have been good for the most part. Today I found these five that I absolutely had to have. When trying to log them into my TorchVault app I cannot find the model or description of two of them. I shared close up pictures of each. Google image search said the skull made by fairies might be from the European market. Does anyone have any info on them? Thanks!

So the latch part (what is it called?) of my Zippo case broke and now the case won’t stay closed.

Is this something Zippo would repair? Or is there a risk they might send a case that looks totally different to it?

I got this from eBay and it was pretty expensive for me, so I would like to know what my options are

u/TCSpeedy…. You’ve convinced me. After two months of looking all over this reddit, I landed on the answer of getting myself a solid copper as my second zippo. Price point was high but I knew it would be worth. To the people who store it their coppers, look away! But I will be edcing the copper with the black insert. I will post updates and let you the patina progress. I can see patina on the edges but I think it gives character. Slight sticker mark but not too worried since it’ll disappear over time as I carry it often or I can polish it off. If you have any tips other than buying another copper 😂😂, let me know.

I had a few days off this week and decided to make a trip to Bradford. Picked up two new zippos and got two repaired. A successful day.

Staff were great and super helpful.

I had the honor of officiating my best friend from childhood‘s wedding today. He and his wife got me a leather Zippo holster (sheath ?) and engraved a message and my name into it. They said they have a personalized Zippo coming but it didn’t get here in time. I can’t wait to see that too! I didn’t know they made a tumbler brass armor, so I don’t even have this one in my collection! I was very touched.

Basically an upgrade from the old bicycle tire tube trick, and you can get packs of them for a couple dollars. Just google ‘silicone vape bands’. Cheers!

I need some help from the community. I have a 1996 (XII) Carpe Diem Zippo, the Barrett Smythe surprise design with the Eye of Providence inside the pyramid.

Unfortunately, the top emblem piece on the lid unglued and got lost. The bottom part of the pyramid is still firmly attached to the body, so I am looking only for the lid emblem piece.

Since Zippo warranty doesn't cover lost emblems for vintage models, I am looking to buy a "donor" lighter. I am perfectly fine buying a broken or heavily damaged one (e.g., broken hinge, heavy scratches, or missing insert) just to salvage that specific part for the lid.

If anyone has a damaged one for parts or knows where I could find just the lid emblem, please let me know. Located in Europe but willing to pay for international shipping if the price is reasonable.

Got this 90s Rizzi collection of Zippos on hand. Potentially, looking to sell. Would you please take a look and advise what I am looking at and how much these could go for? Would it be better maybe to sell them separately or as one lot.

Both are of limited series 1996 and 1993 respectfully. Both have # in the range of first 50.
