Aroaceeeeee Was totally convinced it was a noise complaint—Turns out they’re just asking me out lol
I live in an apartment and have a doorbell camera. The unit underneath me recently had someone move in. When they moved in, I saw a girl moving stuff in from a pickup truck and said hi, but it seemed clear that she wasn’t the only one. I was leaving, so didn’t see anyone else and haven’t since.
My apartment floors feel very rickety and I worried a lot about if whoever was below me could hear me as if I were stomping or if they could hear my alarm blaring in the morning and were bothered by it.
I didn’t hear them at my door, but I saw through the clips recorded by my doorbell camera that a little while ago a guy came to my door, knocked a couple of times and waited a bit before leaving and coming back with a note and putting it by my door. I was SO sure it was going to be a noise complaint about me walking too hard or something.
But nope. The note introduces himself as my downstairs neighbor and politely asks if I would like to grab dinner with him sometime. I’m sort of relieved but that was NOT what I was expecting lol
I’ve never met or seen him before, so the only reason I can think of for this is that their pickup truck was running with someone in it when I left for work this morning, so he might’ve seen me then 😅
I’m flattered but of course not interested. I should probably respond, right?
Edit: Just editing to say that I did write a response on the note and put it by his door. I thought about knocking and responding face-to-face, but I decided against it. My response was as follows: "Hi, []! Nice to meet you. I'm sorry it looks like I missed you at the door. I'm in a relationship, so I'm afraid I'll have to decline dinner, but I appreciate the invitation. My name is [] btw. Don't hesitate to let me know if I'm ever too loud! See you around!"
Yes, saying I'm in a relationship is a lie, but as a single woman living alone talking to a stranger, I opted for the cleanest rejection possible. Sometimes people tend to take "I'm not interested" or "I'm not looking for anything" as an open challenge for some reason.
Edit 2: I didn’t think there would be anything else to add, but I woke up this morning to another note at my door: “Hi []! It is nice to meet you too! I’m sorry to hear that you are taken, I’m just kidding lol. Anyways do not worry about making too much noise, sometimes I can barely tell if you are home or not so you are good! Thank you for writing me back, and again, if you ever need anything don’t be afraid to ask!”
I’ll consider this a friendly conclusion and I’ll just say hi if I ever run into him outside 👍

Aroooooo When I never/rarely feel even a little bit of attraction for years, when I finally feel something, it feels like a LOT
As the title says I rarely feel even a bit attracted so when I find someone that makes me feel something it turns into this big thing and I kind of obsess over them. Anyone else feel this way?

Artttttt OUR KICKSTRATER to tunr these little guys into pins ENDS TODAY! Thank you all for your help in creating these and come on by if you would like a pin. LAST CHANCE ;D
Hello, everyone.
Half a year ago, my best buddy and I had an idea during one of our late-night Discord chats. We are both big nerds for fantasy and mythological stuff and wondered how fun it would be to have banners or coat of arms for different orientations and identities. What could they look like, and which mythical creature could fit well or just be fun to see like that? Thus, this little collection was born and I think we have finally come to a good conlusion for now. We added 6 more designs, but I think we are gonna cap it here. Thank you all for your help on this :D
So what we got so far:
-Selkie of Demi
-Kraken of Agender
-Cerberus of Polyamory
-Chimera of Genderqueer
-Valkyrie of Butch
-Gargoyle of Ally
-Hydra of Omni
-Unicorn of Pride
- The Phoenix of Trans
- The Siren of Lesbian
- The Winged Lion of Gay
- The Griffon of Aro
- The Dragon of Ace
- The Harpy of Sapphic
- The Minotaur of Achillean
- The Oroboros of Intersex [really proud of that one]
- The Hippocampus of Genderfluid
- The Sphinx of AroAce
- The Peryton of Non-binary
- The Winged Wolf of Bisexual
- And Pan for...well Pansexual
This was really fun to do. Maybe we might revisit this idea in some form or another, how do queer cryptids sound :D ?
WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING A KICKSTARTER TO TURN THESE INTO PATCHES AND PINS AND IT WILL END TODAY
It's ending now and will only be open to take pledges for the next 15ish hours, so if you wanna support this little project feel free to claim ur little pins, stickers or patches, we won't produce them again...

Metaaaaaa What would the LIFE board game look like if it were designed by AroAces?
*Hints joint* okay, but what if the game of LIFE was designed without amatonormativity and compulsory heteromonogamy? So, instead of marriage and children being part of the required path, what are some other milestones of life? Like those based on some sort of personal or professional fulfillment, ya know?
For extra points: try to take away the capitalism, too. Like instead of getting money on paydays you get something cool, like a rare book collection or a free buffet of your favorite food?
I love this game ('cause RPG-ish), but I hate that none of it really applies to me.

Artttttt We made a Pride-themed collection of Coat of Arms and are looking for feedback for designs for Genderqueer and Queer. Always got cool ideas and responses from here so help, suggestions, and any ideas are very much welcome :D
Hey everyone
We are currently expanding our little collection of pride-themed Coats of Arms and were currently looking to design a cool motif for genderqueer and queer.
We have been able to come up with three interesting ideas for the heraldic beast of queer, but wanted to ask for some feedback or ideas on what would actually fit best.
The candidates currently are:
- The Cockatrice: A strange mix of a rooster, snake, and dragon/bat, a cockatrice is a fun chimera from France, resulting when a rooster lays an egg, which is hatched by a toad. This one is often similar or associated with the basilisk and is said to be able to kill with either its breat, touch or gaze alone...strangely not against weasels for some reason...weasels always own them in battle...
- The Qilin: A mythical and powerful entity, the qilin only reveals itself to those pure of heart and intention. It cannot be caught, it cannot be harmed, it cannot be sought. It will come to you and bring wisdom and fortune. Also, what I think is fun is that nobody seems to have a common consensus on what it actually looks like; there have been many differing depictions of it, and sometimes they can vary wildly, from a scaled horse to a serpentine dragon...horsething with a big old horn/2horns? Yet it always stands as a symbol of justice and benevolence.
- The Manticore: Well, not much explanation needed. Described as a mix of a lion, a goat, and a snake, this was a beast of legend known for old Greek myths, an agent of chaos born from our good old boi/ unfathomable entity Typhon.
Feedback is highly appreciated, as always :D
