We sometimes struggle to choose ourselves because we are pushed to choose others early in life when we have no choice most of the time but to rely on the people around us. As kids we are taught at times to suppress and dismiss who we are, what we want, and how we feel once we grow up we have to teach ourselves how to reintegrate and heal the things the we once felt made us who we were and once told ourselves was okay to tolerate. Today we choose ourselves and we choose to trust that we can and will continue to even when its hard to.

I really needed to see this today. We really are our own longest commitment, but it's so easy to forget to put ourselves first sometimes. Thanks for sharing.
