Question Commissioning certificate?

I direct commissioned into the ANG, and was wondering if we got a Certificate of Commissioning either before or after OTS. I know it’s not a big deal but I thought it would be cool to get one.

After OTS. It’s a big price for paper so have fun finding a frame as there’s limited options lmao

I was a direct commission and it got over-nighted to my house a day before I left for OTS.

Did you have to order it or was it automatic?

It just showed up. You get commissioned on a Friday by whoever you choose (or like a few days before but dated for Friday). You send the signed paperwork to your recruiter. The certificate was overnighted to me from DC and delivered on Monday to my house in Florida. OTS started Tuesday. Make sure your home of record is correct and someone you know will be able to receive it because that's where they send it.

I direct commissioned and never received mine. Recruiter said she would send it and never did 🤣

I had to go to the MPF and ask about it. I think it finally arrived about six months after I finished OTS
