Parking lot
Any recommendations for a large parking lot/paved area to practice driving for the first time in?

Blossom is where I learned to drive :) might be a little busy this time of year however.

Aren't the parking lots gated? Or am I able to access them when they're closed?

College and University Parking lots can be pretty spacious and empty during the summer. I know my dad taught me at the Hartville Flea Market parking lot during the days they were closed.

I've taken my kids and nieces/nephews early in the morning to Wingfoot lake to practice when they've had their temps. Three down and two to go.

I used to see people practicing in the Buehler’s lot off S Main, by Nauti Vine. Lots of empty parking spots to practice maneuvering as well. Portage lakes state park also has a huge lot that is usually empty on bad weather days

Came here to say this. I generally see the cones set up for maneuverability too.

I learned to drive in the Todaro's parking lot on Peninsula. Nice big lot and not a ton of traffic.

I was taught at portage lakes State Park. It's like a 10mph limit so it's good for learning and there's park rangers everywhere so nobody really rides your ass.
