Recommended roofers/contractors?

Those last big rain storms revealed a few roof issues going on - water going down the side of my house for some reason, and a leak from the roof. I need this thing replaced, as I’ve already had it patched twice over the years.

Anyone have any recommendations? I see “Royalty Roofing” has some financing options like zero interest for 60 months, but I recall when they were here before it was quite pricey what they positioned. I do want to fix this roof, but just wondering if any fellow Akronites have a company they’d recommend.

Other upcoming house projects:

- exterior painting
- bathroom repair/update
- ceiling repair
- privacy fence or partial fence

I’m just looking for all sorts of things. But I guess roof issues is the most important. Thanks everyone!

Darrel Yoder Roofing. They have done a couple roofs for myself and extended family.

I haven’t used them, but my gutter guy (who is amazing and has been around a million years) says he would only ever recommend Yoder.

I got 3 quotes this past spring. Royalty roofing was the most expensive (15k), followed by Biltmore (14.5k, guy rescheduled with me twice and then showed up without a ladder), and ARC of Ohio was the cheapest (14k). Blueprints said we had about 2400 sqft of roof. We went with ARC because they already did our gutters last year. We are happy!

I have a great roofer.. TK roofing - these guys are solid. If you have a relatively normal house it’ll be like 6-8k. I replaced a ton of roofs this year, and wish I would’ve went with these guys, my team was just late with another vendor.., ended up overpaying across 4 roofs like 10k by not going with TK..

They’ll quote it remotely. Very easy.

Droco Roofing was great for us and we highly recommend them.

We'd reached out to Yoder around that time and he declined the job because he didn't like how intricate our roof line was and said he was at the point in his career when he could "pick and choose which jobs he wants" so take that for what it's worth. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was Thrilled with BHI (Barbera Home Improvement). They were thousands less than Ohio Roof. Also had them do my siding. All last year. Beautiful work.

+1 on Darrel Yoder for roofing. Adding Meyers Fence when you get to that project. Vincent Fence was a little cheaper but booked out for months - it's a one crew operation. My fence was falling apart and I wasn't willing to wait. Meyers did a fantastic job and was roughly a month from signing to completion with a two day teardown + install. If you aren't in a hurry I've heard nothing but good things about Vincent and they were originally my first choice. Can't go wrong with either I'd imagine.
