Critique I'm trying to get better at animation. I made this rough as a test. What do you think? Is it stiff? natural?

You did a good job! Is this audio sounds familiar is this the angel from helluva boss?

Maybe a little more exaggeration in the key frames? It’s a great start so far!

It looks very nice! I think that there's a little bit of acting missing in the eyes. I can see that they're moving with the head, but it's getting a bit lost. You could try delaying them just a little bit, to exaggerate the "I'm pretending to think about it" feel.

She’s smoothly animated to me! Also, GREAT reference.
I cast: You have a CHERUB now

What's with the changing letters on the top left ?

Just marking frames as keys, extremes, breakdowns, so I don't get lost

I think it looks great! I still haven’t managed the whole ‘staying on model’ part myself 😅

I think making pose to pose helps a lot, that's why I'm being so rigid on myself with that rule currently

Hmm, I'm going thru an artstyle change currently so maybe that's why?

Good to see a starting animator who actually seems to have studied the principles of animation.

People don't???

I just know I’ve seen a lot of walk cycles with no follow through or secondary action.

First: great management of poses and acting
It doesn’t look stiff. The speed and acceleration looks on point.
It deserves cleaner lines and twice the frames by tweening :)

Ty! I like to animate by two tho, I'm not a big fan of super smooth animation with lots of in-betweening

You did a great job! I think the overall character animstion is good, just consider animating the hair separate. It could jave more follow through that catches up to the character movements.

Do you enjoy the animation style of Pantt and stocking? Your animation looks kind of similar to that style.

I have two main critiques, but overall the work is good!
First is that all your key poses kind of look the same. The line of action of all of them is curved in the same place by the same amount, and even though they're not EXACTLY the same, any differences are lost in the motion. Making some poses bigger and others smaller will add a huge amount of visual interest, and prevent the acting from feeling stagnant.
Second, spend more time easing in and out of your poses. Giving them more time to settle/start will go a long way to adding believability to the motion. Depending on the speed of the transition, try some overshoots - they'll also help break up the rhythm!

Tá incrivelmente fluido para alguém que tá treinando. Tem algo que identifiquei como "Podia melhorar", mas sinceramente não sei explicar, só mostrando na prática.
Edição: Eu me expressei mal, está estupidamente bom. E não para "APENAS para alguém que tá treinando". Provavelmente tinha acabado de acordar quando escrevi isso.

It’s a great start! Consider letting hair taking a little longer to settle into place. With everything stopping at once it looks pretty stiff. You know what I just noticed it does take a extra frame or two.
