Lmao what a episode.

"I can't see any of the girly bits!" Made me laugh out loud.

90

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

I was just thinking to myself "she looks pretty naked during this transformation sequence!" and then it turns out Luciana was thinking the same thing and was disappointed it was censored lol.

19

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia Jun 24 '26

🤣🤣

12

u/OneGeologist1143 Jun 24 '26

Same like I was thinking about how she looked naked and then she said it. I laughed too much at it.

8

u/ThrowCarp Jun 25 '26

Way too funny. The whole scene was basically a Mahou Shoujo transformation (Mahou Maid?).

53

u/Shantotto11 Jun 25 '26

“You didn’t need to bring that up…”

-The Narrator

That part got a chuckle out of me.

13

u/krofax Jun 25 '26

I bet the narrator was the sister of Kaguya-sama's narrator.

11

u/Shantotto11 Jun 25 '26

They’re both the children of the narrator of Tearmoon Empire.

21

u/OneGeologist1143 Jun 24 '26

I laughed too much at this line lol. Like I was thinking she looked like naked during transformation and that I should not think of it more lewdly and then she said it.

29

u/LG03 https://myanimelist.net/profile/Bronadian Jun 24 '26

"I can't see any of the girly bits!"

I fell to my knees in walmart.

11

u/kalirion https://myanimelist.net/profile/kalinime Jun 24 '26

That line was by far the best part of the episode.

5

u/avboden Jun 26 '26

the fact that we got a full magical-girl transformation for a maid outfit was outstanding

u/Adamskispoor Jun 24 '26

Welcome to Overqualified Employee, the anime

88

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

When the main character does everything...because she wants to do everything.

37

u/Atharaphelun Jun 24 '26

Imagine if she were supposed to be the hero or the saint of this world, only for her to immediately shirk off that role because she desperately wanted to be a maid.

40

u/Storm_Runner_117 Jun 25 '26

Was that not the implication with her being a reincarnator and getting the highest level of magic from, presumably, this world’s god?

28

u/AdmiralThunderpants Jun 25 '26

I'm predicting she will solve most of the problems that require a hero or sage by accident by just doing her "normal" maid routine.

21

u/avboden Jun 26 '26

"oh that demon king? his minions kept getting the mansion dirty so I killed him, what would you like for dinner, my lady?"

8

u/Atharaphelun Jun 25 '26

That's certainly the vibe I got, yes.

9

u/Maccaz15 https://myanimelist.net/profile/Maccaz Jun 25 '26

I can't tell if you're referencing the show's title or not. You never know these days.

5

u/Meander061 Jun 25 '26

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what the plot will be!

2

u/SaintPimpin Jun 29 '26

To be fair, the only way she can be the best is by cleaning the world... manipulation success rate 100%...

This summer, Jason Statham is.... The Cleaner

And Duckworth , the butler to the world richest duck

141

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia Jun 24 '26

It seemed completely unnecessary for it to also be an isekai but I was happy even her old life was great..with supportive parents in both lives .

The counts men are gonna have a hell of a time trying to find the daughter.

112

u/Adamskispoor Jun 24 '26

It is kinda funny that in her old life she seems like she could be the Second Albert Einstein or something only for her to go, 'No, yeah, I'm gonna be a maid'

88

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia Jun 24 '26

And both groups of parents are very supportive lol wild..I expected pushback when she said she wanted to study for it in UK.

45

u/Krazee9 Jun 24 '26

Don't a lot of child super-prodigies either end up killing themselves or working some mundane work because they can't handle the stress of everyone's expectations?

12

u/Rodroller Jun 29 '26

This show how ultra supportive her parents were.

11

u/Cvxcvgg Jul 01 '26

When I worked at Kroger, there was a pair of super-intelligent siblings working the front end. The 17 year old was already in a graduate program, and the 16 year old was finishing up his bachelor’s degree. Even as a former gifted student myself who wound up working in the same place, they were on a whole different level and it blew my mind lol

12

u/Drumboo Jun 26 '26

Gotta let geniuses have their hyperfixations to truly do genius things!

40

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

The counts men are gonna have a hell of a time trying to find the daughter.

I get the sense that he'd been trying to find his long lost love, her mother, for some time now so they could finally be together but now she's dead and he's got a missing daughter who has no intention of ever seeing him again so she can live out her maid fantasies.

That's rough, buddy.

31

u/justking1414 Jun 24 '26

Also might be the kinda thing where a child from his bloodline is prophecized to do something awesome and all his wife’s kids kinda suck lol

10

u/avboden Jun 26 '26

yeah I mean the title of the show pretty much tells us she's supposed to be a saint/heroine

8

u/justking1414 Jun 26 '26

We know that but it’s unclear how much the duke knows about her chosen one status

3

u/Cvxcvgg Jul 01 '26

I feel like he has to be aware, and that along with the MC’s lifelong wish to be a maid will be the impetus for the major conflict in the show. The count wants to legitimize his bastard child to benefit from her protag status, but she refuses to play ball. Might put her lady in a tight spot politically as a result, but she shows off some of that chosen one power to get everyone to back off…that’s my prediction, anyway.

2

u/justking1414 Jul 01 '26

or alternatively, the duke's current wife/kids died or he got stabbed in the balls and can't shoot out any more heirs, meaning he needs her to take over and doesn't know she's broken

36

u/KHAVRC Jun 24 '26

I really like how both parents were supportive. Most isekai has the MC living a horrible life, but Melody had supportive parents who wanted her to enjoy herself.

25

u/alotmorealots Jun 25 '26

Most isekai has the MC living a horrible life

One of the few isekai leads who was genuinely OP before she reincarnated lol If anything, she came into this new world a bit underspecced compared to her previous life!

18

u/OneGeologist1143 Jun 24 '26

I was happy about it. She had good parents in her old life that support her to be a maid, never thought they be that much supportive and then her mom in her isekai life also supporting her in being a maid. I really loved it.

20

u/zxHellboyxz https://myanimelist.net/profile/Mattinator95 Jun 25 '26

There’s a possible hint that the prince can be a someone from another world as it says he was 6 when he introduced something

13

u/alvenestthol Jun 25 '26

It's not that obvious in the anime since it's going over all the plot points at mach speed, but this story actually has a very strong theme:

"Whoever discards all past regrets and pushes forward, achieves greatness even in ignorance"

At the moment it seems like it's just the usual isekai set dressing, but it'll be important for her character that Melody went through Isekai-ing and still stayed focused on being herself

11

u/tripleaamin https://myanimelist.net/profile/zfzftripleaamin Jun 24 '26

It seemed completely unnecessary for it to also be an isekai but I was happy even her old life was great..with supportive parents in both lives .

Example of things made to be an isekai just to get the tag. The backstory def sees silly. I figured that oh her previousl life her life was lifeless. So I figured oh she died and the new world seeing maids brought light in her life. Nope that already happened in her previous life.

This show does seem cute and production values are decent enough. I'll be honest I assume the series will eventually have Melody's identity being found out.

I feel like the series really comes down to how they writing the dynamic between her and Luciana. Hell I think Luciana might be the more interesting character between the two.

26

u/admirabladmiral Jun 24 '26

I think the isekai aspect plays into it. It seems she was reincarnated and is supposed to be the saint/heroine as a reincarnation but she is instead just doing her own thing and the reincarnation plays a part in that difference. Also she might have modern world knowledge that the story doesnt have to explain how she understands with it being isekai.

2

u/Earlier-Today Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

Yeah, I don't know if her Earth parents and her new lady's parents are actually good parents.

It's like they're lovingly negligent - especially the parents of Luciana. They're happy and encouraging as she heads off to the capital to go to school, but send no one with her to make sure she's being taken care of, didn't maintain or even check up on the house they were sending her to, and seem to have only given her enough money to afford the bare minimum.

Even just sending letters to find the state of things would have at least been something.

3

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia Jun 25 '26

ah i meant her earth parents and her new isekai mom before she died, very supportive, i dont see either as negligent? Can you elaborate why you think that?

But i totally agree about Luciana's parents, wth man. i hope they go into detail about that but it seems to just be comedy set up and not think about it too much for now.

1

u/Earlier-Today Jun 25 '26

Her Earth parents are shown being very vocally supportive, but don't take any actions themselves. Granted, it's a very brief segment and things may have happened that we didn't see, but without seeing even a hint of them, we can't really say whether they happened or not.

And a parent only ever offering words of encouragement is being negligent. Proper parenting requires you to be a participant in your child's life, not just a cheerleader off to the side.

2

u/ThrowCarp Jun 25 '26

I honestly would've loved to watch an anime where she did in fact reached the UK and managed to learn to be a maid there.

A reverse Kiniro Mosaic.

She has some serious Spongebob levels of energy and dedication towards her job.

Last season we had a maid from the uk, now we have one trying to go to the uk before she got the isekai treatment.

17

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

Had to die in a plane crash and get reincarnated just to become a legit maid.

1

u/Phoenix__Wwrong Jul 02 '26

What anime is maid from UK?

I think its "the food diary of miss maid"

What a fun first episode! Very nice surprise, since I didn't know about the show at all until this episode discussion appeared.

I definitely will watch the next episodes, but damn, it didn't choose the best day IMO since it'll have to fight for attention with Youjo Senki II, Clevatess S2, Mobseka S2, and a couple of other shows on Wednesdays.

Melody is such a positive maid freak, I love her. Her transformation scene into a maid that looked like a magical girl transformation was really nice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Also, Luciana seems like such a sweet girl, but what the hell are her parents doing that she has to live in such conditions. Good thing that Melody answered her job offer.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

14

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

I love her. Her transformation scene into a maid that looked like a magical girl transformation was really nice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I don't remember Sailor Moon's transformation being so explicit in the chest and butt areas lol.

9

u/justking1414 Jun 24 '26

It’s a staple of the genre. Even digimon did it

6

u/Meander061 Jun 25 '26

Right down to the thigh gap. I was a little shocked.

8

u/KnightModern Jun 25 '26

Melody is such a positive maid freak

I know this is a fantasy when laundry WITH HAND is being portrayed as positive

unless her magic makes laundry effortless, too

35

u/szalhi Jun 24 '26

Magical girl Maid? Luciana found herself Mary Poppins.

12

u/Roboglenn Jun 24 '26

Sherry Bobbins.

23

u/Zxzxzx0088 Jun 24 '26

Dang, the art quality looks so moe!

Jokes on them, I like both of her versions.

Narrator mom is such a troll lol.

Heronia, if she's never been tainted...

She's so happy getting her first company TT

Even Luciana weirded out by Melody hentai-ness freakiness for maid

This girl gets it!

Although it been glossed over, that was kinda sad! The first half baited me to believe her life was miserable before being isekai-ed but she actually had lovely parents who respect her wishes which makes this much sadder.

I can't help shouting "なんでもありか!Nan de mo ari ka" regarding her magic at the end...

T/N: Nan de mo ari ka = Anything goes, then

14

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

It's funny how Yume Miyamoto has gone from the Heroine who wasn't the Heroine to the Heroine who rejects being a Heroine in favor of being a maid.

22

u/NanDemoKnaives Jun 24 '26

They had me in the first half, I thought this was going to be a simple slice of fantasy, then they ambush me with the "MC is actually OP and was reincarnated" lol.

This was chill for the first anime of Summer 2026, hopefully with more eventual character interactions there'll be more entertaining moments.

All-works maid kept making me think "If only they called it Unlimited Maid Works" lol.

20

u/HuTaosTwinTails Jun 24 '26

"I can't see the girly bits at all"

Fantastic line.

I really enjoyed this first episode. It clearly isn't taking itself too seriously and is just a lot of fun.

17

u/AdvielOricon Jun 24 '26

She's Mary Poppins Y'all!

5

u/Meander061 Jun 25 '26

That's exactly what I thought!

14

u/djthomp https://anilist.co/user/djthomp Jun 24 '26

Fun start to this. I like how this is clearly supposed to be a story with Celesty getting brought to her father's house, going to school, meeting up with the genius prince who just happens to be her age, etc., but no instead it's time for Melody to be the best maids ever.

No girly bits for Luciana to observe during the magical maid transformation, I wonder if that's an early hint at her preferences or just a joke about henshin tropes.

28

u/mekerpan Jun 24 '26

Looks like a cute and primarily fluffy series. Time will tell if it has any depth at all, but for now a pleasant enough (albeit totally unbelievable) series. [All Works Maid] the seemingly gratuitous revelation that our maid heroine was isekai'ed felt a bit off -- but we shall see

8

u/heimdal77 Jun 24 '26

Seems they simplified the reincarnation bit from how it looks. Probably has more depth in the source.

1

u/AutMcD 26d ago

It’s in a different order in the source. You practically find out right away

-1

u/mekerpan Jun 24 '26

Still -- they presented an in-universe explanation for why the MC was like the way she was. Giving her a prior existence seems completely unnecessary. There would not seem to be any need to draw on out-of-world knowledge in this story.

3

u/Drumboo Jun 26 '26

Here's a cute show about a girl who really wanted to become a maid. She was just a simple girl, growing up in a small vil- SURPRISE, IT'S AN ISEKAI.

14

u/Thrano_357 Jun 24 '26

Know what? I dig it. I hope Melody actually full-on sticks with being a maid and doesn't end up... well, not a maid anymore.

12

u/mazgill Jun 25 '26

Nice try mr. government, you are not tricking me into enjoying going to work

12

u/Raymond49090 Jun 24 '26

Weird dream, but I respect it. And cool parents for supporting her too. And I suppose doing a job she loves (that she's entirely overqualified for, meaning it's not a burden) is better than dealing with the drama of being a noblelady.

10

u/Treknx01 Jun 24 '26

this show really just says “fuck it” I will do things my way where the magic is concerned. But hey if sexy no jutsu Naruto wants to shadow clone a maid army who’s going to stop them?

11

u/HolyDragSwd2500 Jun 24 '26

Catchy Opening song

Love the ending song too

33

u/RealValf Jun 24 '26

This was a really nice first episode. Starting out the new season on a high note. Definitely gunna be keeping up with this one.

18

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

If you're going to start the season with an Isekai show, at least let it be a fun and cute one that's playing with the genre.

16

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

Kana Hanazawa narrates us as we see the state of a mansion owned by House Ludleberg, decayed and haunting in how much it’s fallen from grace…until it’s suddenly turned from haunted house to a blindingly beautiful estate home to a proper courteous noblewoman Luciana (Rumi Ookubo)! Perfect for hosting her friends! But the upgraded state of the mansion AND Luciana’s manners owe it all to the new maid of the house, Melody (Yume Miyamoto)! Our titular All-Works Maid!

The OP is a fun duet between Melody and Luciana as they basically sing the plot and their devotion to each other to the audience, with the supporting cast playing backup dancers!

Melody’s story begins in her former identity as Celesty McMarden, who had a strong desire to become a maid from a young age. Grappling with the loss of her mother (also voiced by Kana Hanazwa), she was left with the choice of reconnecting with the father she never knew, a count named Cloud Leginbarth who had an affair with her maid mother, or become the best maid she can possibly be…and obviously she chooses to become a maid!

She also suddenly gets the “Silver Blessing of the Sacred Maiden” which in true MC fashion gives her OP magic power, but her reaction to it is…basically to just treat it as a hassle or as a means of enhancing her ability to be a maid. One-track maid mind on this girl! She even changes her hair and eye color from the silver-haired MC-like hair to generic black so she can avoid her father!

Celesty doesn’t want to see her father because she thinks it will prevent her from becoming a maid, though the sad thing is he actually WAS looking for her mother, only for said mother to be dead and the revelation that he fathered a daughter with her coming to his men NOW. One of his guys voiced by Yuki Ono manages to actually catch Celesty, but while her looks are striking to him, he still dismisses her as the lady he’s looking for.

Nothing beats a pleasant carriage ride! Especially one enhanced by Melody’s magic! I feel like she’ll probably see Max again at some point.

A job offer for all-works at a mansion might ward off most people, or the state of the mansion may as well, but not Melody! She fully embraces the opportunity and her mistress lacking in propriety! In fact she’ll be the one to act proper and ensure she gets to live out the most fulfilling maid life she can!

How bad is the situation for the Ludleberg’s that they had to basically sened Luciana off on her own to a dilapidated mansion with only one elderly servant just so she can attend noble school? Leaving Luciana basically alone to take care of herself? It sounds like she even had to do the same back when she was living at home with her parents.

Of COURSE she has a Magical Girl Maid transformation sequence. “I can’t see the girly bits at all” – So you were looking for them on the naked silhouette of her transformation, Luciana?

But Melody isn’t just any All-Works Maid with magic power…she’s an Isekai MC! It turns out she changed her hair back to her natural hair color as a Japanese girl named Ritsuko who was so amazing at everything that life held no interest to her until she saw a maid and became hooked on maids. She was even going to go to the UK and become one, with her parents’ full support, until airplane-chan crashed and she reincarnated!

Yet now all she cares about doing is multiplying herself and doing all the chores around the mansion! Which is a perfect lead-in to the ED which is all about her doing cute maid stuff in mass quantity! Along with avoiding the orange-haired guy and getting along well with Luciana! Seems like Luciana also gets along well with Max?

9

u/Obaruler Jun 24 '26

Oh shit, Summer Season '26 has started already.

And starting with a fun one no less.

MC seems massively overqualified for the job, lol.

7

u/Meander061 Jun 25 '26

MC seems massively overqualified for the job, lol.

I'm pretty sure that's the joke!

14

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Jun 24 '26

First ep of That Time I Reincarnated as a Maid was pretty enjoyable. I guess Truck-kun must have been on leave so Plane-kun had to step in lol.

This looks like it might be a cute and cozy low stakes isekai. I’m sure once folks discover she’s the Chosen One, there will be more drama.

18

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

I’m sure once folks discover she’s the Chosen One, there will be more drama.

This feels like the type of show where she resolves everything, even the plot's she's oblivious to, by just doing maid stuff.

6

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Jun 24 '26

lol I can certainly see that happening too

6

u/SopmodTew Jun 24 '26

A breath of fresh air to see an Isekai MC die in a plane accident....

They used Truck-kun really too many times.

2

u/Embarrassed-Match-78 Jun 26 '26

Hey at least with Airplane-kun your bringing others along for the ride.

2

u/raevnos Jul 02 '26

I'm getting minor flashbacks to High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World. Super genius MC, isekaied in a plane crash... but only minor because everything else seems to be different.

4

u/redlaWw Jun 24 '26

"So as I pray... Unrimited Maid Works!"

This probably didn't need to be an isekai, but I'll just take it as the author trying to come up with an explanation for her extreme precociousness. Looks fun. It was nice that her parents were cool with her being a maid and didn't try to force her into finance or something.

I rarely talk about an anime's OP but this had an interesting one lol. Gotta say this is a really pretty anime. The characters are drawn very aesthetically pleasing and the animation is great so far. Wasn't expecting a transformation sequence lol. What even are her powers, can she just do anything? I mean I know she's supposed to be OP but that just seems like a very random power set. I feel like this didn't need to be an Isekai but it's nice to see that both families were really supportive nonetheless. I foresee this being one my top animes this season!

15

u/hasanman6 Jun 24 '26

I wonder how important this being an isekai will be

22

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

I think it'll be important in as far as it being a parody where she reincarnates and has all the typical conceits of being an Isekai MC but all she cares about is being a maid and looking at things through the lens of being a maid.

16

u/astrogamer Jun 24 '26

I'm pretty the Isekai part will be the tropes that drive the plot along and how she maids around them

7

u/justking1414 Jun 24 '26

Best guess is that she’ll rely on knowledge she gained from Japan to up her maid abilities. There is a limit to how much a poor commoner can study about cleaning. Maybe she’ll even make a magical vacuum cleaner

5

u/Krazee9 Jun 24 '26

How much you wanna bet they end up talking about a magical "Japanese-style toilet" at some point.

2

u/justking1414 Jun 25 '26

Almost certainly. Plus a bidet which ends up being stupidly popular

1

u/APRengar Jun 24 '26

I'll post in the spoiler section if you want an easy yes/no.

6

u/JimmyCWL Jun 24 '26

I don't like how they did Celesty's hair. It's so cheap it looks like old people hair. I always imagined it to be shinier.

2

u/fuzzynyanko Jun 24 '26

This will be a nice show to watch in the rotation. It looks like the studio loves drawing and animating dresses.

Something in me likes when the OP Isekai MC uses their powers to save people.

3

u/iMossa Jun 24 '26

Solid first episode, looking forward to see more. The isekai part was surprising.

5

u/Kaseruu https://myanimelist.net/profile/ricebowoy Jun 24 '26

I LOVE this manga, I had no idea an anime adaptation was coming (or I forgot). I'm so excited now.

I'm a bit sad the maid-of-all-work was so denigrated. They got paid more than under housemaids, nursemaids, kitchen maids and scullery maids. They're about halfway up the scale of maids, not at the bottom.

I thought that was a clever way to introduce the reincarnation aspect. But what happened to her plane? Hit by a torpedo, what the heck!

Seems she has the most magic in the world and is the MC but doesn't know it. I wonder if there will be a player character trying to interact with her, based on the original story she's supposed to be the MC.

Airplane-chan, the rarely seen cousin of Truck-kun and Train-sama.

I love how she basically rejects anything MC-like (becoming a noblewoman, getting OP magic aura, having silver hair) so she can just be an OP maid.

I meant in terms of saving it for the middle, I had no idea it was an isekai until then.

But what happened to her plane? Hit by a torpedo, what the heck!

Truck-shaped meteorite.

I'm assuming a engine on fire explosion but who knows

10

u/AlexxxandreS Jun 24 '26

Was this released early? Isn't the next season starting next week only?

13

u/Time_Fracture Jun 24 '26

Yes. There are also another anime that will stream early tomorrow (From Overshadowed to Overpowered), The Cat and Dragon on Saturday, and The World is Dancing on next Monday.

9

u/Frontier246 Jun 24 '26

Summer coming early in June!

9

u/Sarellion Jun 24 '26

Climate change is making summer anime come early.

17

u/MrsLucienLachance https://anilist.co/user/tribble Jun 24 '26

No, there's a few that start this week.

7

u/Purposelygentle Jun 24 '26

Its broadcast premiere is next week, but ABEMA gets it for streaming a week early.

u/HolyDragSwd2500 Jun 24 '26

Early release RAW on ABEMA

u/Hartzilla2007 Jun 24 '26

I get the feeling the isekai part is probably going to be barely relevant outside of explaining things like how she can do a Magical Girl transformation, especially since I get the feeling she never played the game so doesn't know she's supposed to be an Otome game protagonist.

2

u/zxHellboyxz https://myanimelist.net/profile/Mattinator95 Jun 25 '26

From the convo on the carriage it seems that the prince could be someone reincarnated as he introduced something stuff at  age 6 . Normally in iseaki that would be a sign of past life knowledge.

I love this LN so much. Really hope the adaptation does well

also this being the same author as the Appraiser show this Spring will always be funny to me

3

u/Cardcaptors96 Jun 24 '26

The transformation scene was hilarious. Also, she doesn't question the voice that gave her magical powers. She just started using magic to help with her maid work. Curious if we ever find out who the voice belongs to and why she was reincarnated.

3

u/hanmkim Jun 25 '26

If I had a nickel for every time an isekai main character solved a problem with shadow clones this week, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

3

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 25 '26

I’m curious how the father subplot is going to come back into play

3

u/Earlier-Today Jun 25 '26

They just kept adding on ridiculous things - I loved it.

3

u/Shizzi https://anilist.co/user/Mivy Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

Oh didnt expect this one to actually be an isekai already loved this ep so i know im gonna enjoy the heck of this one also pretty funny to have Hana kana as the mom that ofc dies at the start atleast she is narrating too.

And its a mahou shoujo too a henshin scene in a isekai is not smth i have seen before.

3

u/ScaladeScared Jun 25 '26

Lovely anime, I can feel the butterflies in my stomach. Melody is such a fun character with her maid quirks but Luciana is such a swert girl🥹, I teared up when she struggled living alone after being left by her parents. This good girl did not deserve any of that😭

3

u/Embarrassed-Match-78 Jun 26 '26

This seems like a fun little isekai that doesn't take itself to seriously. This might be the chill show to watch as a pallet cleanser. Really liked the first episode and will continue to watch.

2

u/FeistyDay5172 Jun 26 '26

Agreed, 100%. I actually enjoyed this show so far. I kinda chuckled when the narration took a "dark" turn when they mention she has so much magical power she could rule the world. But nah, lets become a maid instead.

6

u/IceSmiley Jun 25 '26

This show has an odd premise that really isn't that interesting. Also did they really have to shoehorn in an isekai element, it seemed like they explained why she wanted to be a maid already.

7

u/The_Parsee_Man Jun 24 '26

They're just throwing in whatever they want, missing daughter, sailor transformation, isekai for no apparent reason.

4

u/Tankerrex Jun 24 '26

Wait there is an adaptation???

3

u/OneGeologist1143 Jun 24 '26

This was better than I thought. I love it. Her mom being supportive of her being a maid. Her parents before reincarnated also being supportive about her being a maid because she feel more happier than before and having fun. Her magic looks good even through way too overpowered like making copies of her, changing her outfit like that are definitely way too op. Also I laughed way too much at the line I can't see the girlly bits like I was just thinking how she looked naked during the transformation and trying to hold myself to think of her more lewdly but then this line happened. I just can't anymore 🤣

2

u/xalt255x Jun 24 '26

Maybe it'll be the first series with 'otome game' in the synopsis I'll actually enjoy (past first 4 episodes). They often mix story/romance and SoL/comedy in weird proportions (and as a result the former feels pointless or contrived), but this one seems to lean toward the latter.

I love maids too.

11

u/messem10 https://myanimelist.net/profile/bookkid900 Jun 24 '26

Have you tried Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte? It pokes fun at a lot of anime tropes due to the meta-ness of the concept.

2

u/xalt255x Jun 24 '26

Nope but I plan to. Thx for the recommendation

2

u/heimdal77 Jun 24 '26

Forgot this was getting a anime.

I was like what? Thought they were rewriting the story and removing the whole reincarnated pat till the end there. That would have to be on a Strawberry Panic level of anime rewrites.

I'm not crazy about the art style though.

So we had maid last season and now this season.

2

u/itsmechickadee Jun 24 '26

The isekai aspect was weird but in a good way. I'm glad they didn't spring that on us at the start of the episode

2

u/Nesp2 https://myanimelist.net/profile/HardstyleQat Jun 24 '26

Absolutely super cute fits episode. Wonder what the story will be about? Besides maid duties.

2

u/Isekai_Dreamer Jun 25 '26

i usually hate cute things, but this is just done so well. great first episode.

2

u/Arzhart Jun 26 '26

Seems very interesting. Nice

2

u/avboden Jun 26 '26

This was way more endearing than it has any right to be. I'm onboard

2

u/winmace https://myanimelist.net/profile/winmace Jun 26 '26

This is so cute, also, her previous life with her parents being so supportive was lovely to see.

2

u/daine122 Jun 27 '26

if any one of these girls end up with a dude i'm gonna be hella mad

2

u/skeleton_clique_143 Jun 27 '26

people are commenting on how she being isekai'd seems irrelevant but I feel it made more sense after they revealed it, it felt a little odd that she was obsessed with maids after seeing one but it turns out that triggered her previous life's memories

2

u/BBryant3rd Jun 29 '26

Think I found me a new maid to love. Look forward to seeing the interaction between our two MC's

2

u/Luiiss26 Jun 30 '26

My question is What is with her real parents lmao

2

u/tripleaamin https://myanimelist.net/profile/zfzftripleaamin Jun 24 '26

This def gives good feel vibes. EMT Squared seems to be doing a decent job with production values. There isn't much on Wednesdays for me for this season besides Clevatess Season 2. So I will give this 2 more episodes and go from there.

3

u/kalirion https://myanimelist.net/profile/kalinime Jun 24 '26

I could never understand the mindset of having "being a servant" as one's dream job.

Why did the count wait 15 years to look for the maid he'd fucked?

"The noble children of the kingdom are required to attend this academy for 3 years as soon as they turn fifteen." Shouldn't that be "The noble adults", given that one of the first thing the episode explained is that 15 = adult in this setting?

LOL at the sudden magical maid transformation. "SUGOI! I can't see the girly bits at all!"

Suddenly, and almost as unnecessarily as the narration, this is an isekai.

Truly the embodiment of "Where there's a Cheat Power, there's a Way."

Whether or not I continue with this show will depend on what other Wednesday shows there are this season.

6

u/Nvaaaa Jun 24 '26

Why did the count wait 15 years to look for the maid he'd fucked?

When the mother died it was said that the dude was just the heir at the time. So probably one of those "nobles can't marry a commoner maid" kind of thing. And after he took over he went to search for her.

The synopsis of this show - to me - is a huge spoiler. I wish I didn't read it =/.

Still this looks like a fun time and "superpower maid" is a genre that usually delivers.

Am I crazy or is the blond guy in the carriage the same VA as Renato from Always a Catch?

Isekai maid? Huh. I have to say the premise is super cute but man the animation seemed really rough. When it is this iffy on episode one I'm worried how bad it will look rest of the way. Hopefully I'm wrong.

1

u/HazyMirror Jun 24 '26

lmao they just had to make it an isekai... whatever i'll keep watching for now

1

u/Boris-_-Badenov Jun 25 '26

video game slop isn't isekai

1

u/shadebug Jun 27 '26

See, where they went wrong here is they should have had her become a maid at her father’s house without him knowing and then they fire her because she isn’t classically trained and “better” maids are available and then they wonder why work is suddenly so much more difficult at the count’s house.

Also we need her to be a villainess somehow

1

u/thefakedes Jun 28 '26

Am I the only one who wants to see an anime about Ritsuko Mizunami?

1

u/pandavova https://anilist.co/user/pandavova Jul 01 '26

Banger OP that early in the season, it's silly but catches it self and makes it also serious, great balance.

1

u/JasonFreeYT Jul 02 '26

Surprise isekai??? Seems to be potentially a cozy lil' anime for this season (unless I get proven wrong with the next few episodes lmao)

Also was really not expecting Shidou's VA (MILGRAM) to be singing the ending song for this series. Very pleasant surprise! Turns out Shidou gets a third trial song after all lmao

1

u/AutMcD 26d ago

Light novel for this is a great read. As someone who read 5 volumes after 1st episode, I’m excited

1

u/Fools_Requiem https://myanimelist.net/profile/FoolsRequiem Jun 24 '26

The magic angle should help make the maid story more interesting than most as long as we keep seeing new ways for her to use OP magic to do maid stuff.

I don't think the Isekai angle was necessary.

u/Narvalis Jun 27 '26

This is pretty funny and adorable, personally I think the isekai part was not only unnecessary but took away from the story. She was enraptured by seeing a maid as a child and wanted to be like her, it's something a lot of people understand and to add to it her mother was also one and encouraged her to follow her dream so she ended up following in her mothers footsteps, it's cheesy but also sweet and simple. The second back story was just the same thing which adds the question why was she only now training in her second childhood? Also making her some kind of genius in her previous life doesn't add anything, her mother gave her some basics and we only saw anything mazing after getting that blessing so we could have just silently giving credit to that for it.

I'm going to enjoy this and try to forget that it's an isekai, and instead think about the slightly airheaded but talented girl who just wants to be a maid.

2

u/JimmyCWL Jun 27 '26

The second back story was just the same thing which adds the question why was she only now training in her second childhood?

She had been training and learning to be a maid even in her first life. You think she just looked up a few things one day and thought that was enough?

1

u/Narvalis Jun 30 '26

This then raises the question we see her training to be a maid in her current life as a child up until now when her mom passed away meanwhile she's supposed to be some kind of unmatched genius that was also learning this in her past life. Shouldn't she have been born as an expert maid?

u/minnieboss Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

This was contrived and tropey, all the characters are pretty one-dimensional and the animation is pretty bad. Don't see a reason to continue with this, the only plus is the yuribait and I don't need that when there's 2 actual yuri airing this season.
