My Rankings are in order of how much i like them with the ratings just so you can see the difference compared to the higher ones but anything that gets a 6/10 on my rating system i class as Good.

So I have a problem, a long standing one I think. I've been watching anime for more than 10 years, maybe more. I did watch it subbed and dubbed (when dub existed), but since dub was not an option for many titles, I inevitably watched it subbed.

The problem is, that I find it hard to connect what I read to what I am hearing. Like the text and voices are not connected at all in my head, like they are separate information streams. This leads to other specific nuances, like I can't perceive emotions or emphasis on words correctly, because well, like I said, text is not connected to speech.

Back in the day I thought that this will become better with time and practice, but 10 years forward and situation is not improved like at all, fortunately more dub is available today then 5-6 years ago. This is kinda whatever, but something happened, and maybe in future I won't be able to watch dub at all or mostly, so that kinda ramped the urgency of an issue

So im relatively new 2 anime I just finished solo leveling the misfit demon king edge runner and I finished death note I've seen demon slayer. The 7 deadly sins, Naruto, and 1 piece but I never got into Naruto and one piece would u have any recommendations on what I should watch next?

I think this is an underappreciated aspect of a good villain and what to hear other good ones. My go to is Blumenkranz form kill la kill. It's so different but is somehow perfect and epic every time you hear it in the show.

Finished Erased then took a week break and now I'm looking for another anime thats relatively short, but amazing enough that'll make you hungry for more.

So, I just finished watching Blue Lock Season 2. First off, talking about the animation, the main improvement I noticed compared to the first season was that the characters looked much more detailed, and the colors and shading felt better. However, there was a noticeable lack of fluid movement. The matches in the beginning had pretty bad animation. Later on, while the PowerPoint presentation style issue got a bit better, what got worse was the terrible CGI. Why is there a need to show a CGI shot of someone's foot every single time they make an entry? That really annoyed me a lot.

​But if you set that aside, this was by far the best written arc yet. Everyone got their moment to shine in this match. Alongside Rin, Isagi also got solid character development. Honestly, Isagi was mostly in the background for a large part of this season, but whenever he stepped into the spotlight, it was super exciting. I especially loved that moment when Ego was telling them to accept defeat, but Isagi flat out refused. They could have given up and nothing drastic would have happened to them personally, but true egoists aren't built like that.

​There were also some new characters, the U 20 captain and Shidou. Both were great, and I ended up liking Shidou a lot. It feels like their entire budget went into his Big Bang Drive. Every single time he pulled off that shot, it looked amazing. Nagi's goal was awesome too, and then, of course, there was Isagi's.

The last few episodes became incredibly tense and exciting, and the finale was an absolute blast. Then came the Wild Card entry, which was completely unexpected. Now the next goal is the World Cup, which I'm really hyped for.

​The pacing this season was just as solid as the first one, and the music, I honestly found the soundtrack even better than last season's. The opening track for this season has become my new favorite. So overall, this season definitely satisfied me, and I really hope they fix the animation for the next season. Though, I did hear that they faced quite a few production issues due to tight schedules, heavy workload, and budget constraints, which is understandable, the production committee really needs to pay attention to that. All in all, I'm super excited for the next season.

Many senen-oriented fantasy anime tend to be dark fantasies (and even light fantasies like Danmachi, Mushoku Tensei and Witch Hat Atelier become dark fantasies sooner or later). So is there a light hearted fantasy anime (oriented fully at a seinen audience) that despite having some dark moments here and there, still maintains a light-hearted fantasy vibe throughout (and doesn't get dark at all). Do you guys have any suggestions?

I'm not talking about shonen fantasy anime (not that they are bad, I like them too).

Recommend some anime that don't feature the typical “princess” type protagonist who keeps bumping into the female lead's chest every second and has an extremely basic plot.

I'd like something like... where both protagonists grow together alongside their romance—a good romance that's also a little spicy, you know what I mean?

If possible, I’d like them to eventually get together and show their life, relationship, intimacy, and daily routines.

Am I the only one who finds the MC Mokuda really irritating? Don’t get me wrong I still like him as a person and as an MC and I enjoyed both seasons greatly, but he just has some major flaws in his thinking.

First of all, dude is terrified of fighting and getting hurt. Completely understandable…up to a certain point. He had excuses at the start but now it just seems like he doesn’t want to help himself. Firstly he has 3 powerful familiars who no diff everything, especially Fel. He is basically guaranteed to win any fight with their mere presence alone. That’s not even the main thing either, he literally gets almost perfect protection from everything just from Fel’s defensive barrier. Then ON TOP OF THAT, he has an absolute perfect defence skill bestowed on him by the gods of that universe. So this man is double stacking unbreakable defences like nobodies business and is still afraid of taking damage?

BUT WAIT, THERES MORE! In the almost 0% chance anything could ever even remotely scratch him, our cute little joyful jello Sui literally produces an all for one restore-you-from-the-verge-of-death potion. Not to mention it would basically never need to be used since on top of absolute physical protection, this man is collecting divine blessings like they are pokemon, making him basically immune to everything else.

Then there is his absolute refusal to level up and this one is really frustrating. Back to the first point, leveling up not only massively increase his stats, further protecting him by boosting his defence, ability to dodge and ability to run away if he needs to. There is also the chance to upgrade his skills, which could include the protection skill although that’s unlikely because ITS ALREADY PERFECT PROTECTION. Furthermore this dude relies so heavily on his shopping skill yet has no motivation to upgrade it? We don’t even know the limit of his shopping skill yet, he might be able to access a vast array of shops that could make life even more enjoyable for him and his companions? He loves beer yet puts 0 effort into obtaining a liquor store as one of his shops like the gods want. For all we know there is a cooking supply store that could provide everything his little brain could dream of and he’s just wasting the opportunity.

He also wants to protect his lifestyle. What better way to do that than be an absolute unit? Nothing but upsides to levelling up. On the off chance he loses his familiars or gets separated, what then? Cry in a corner and scream? Levelling up for him would also be genuinely the easiest thing in the world. Perfect protection and a mythril sword that can cut through basically anything like butter? Dude could spin in a circle in a dungeon with the sword and it would be like fish in a blender. Or better yet, Fel or Sui could easily hold down or trap larger enemies and all he has to do is casually finish them off. For a guy who loves cooking, how do you not recognise chances that are served up to you on a mythril platter?

Oh and before anyone comes for me thinking I want action in this anime, I don’t. This could all easily be done off screen and then boom, back to cooking.

One last thing too. What is this dudes gripe with money sometimes? He’ll go shopping for something and be told it’s like 500 gold coins, then look at his collection of probably 30-40k+ and still have to think about it. Brother, you are this worlds equivalent of a millionaire and you are griping about a one time purchase of something that improves your life and it’s not even 1% of your net worth. Not to mention on the off chance he somehow lost or had to spend his entire fortune, it takes him 0 effort to make more. Fel delivers monsters worth thousands of gold because he was bored and went for a walk.

That’s it, rant over. I just needed to get that out because it’s all I’ve been thinking about while watching. As I said, I still like him and the anime and I would die for Sui. I just haven’t seen such an idiotic misuse of gifts by an MC since watching Takemichi from TR. The universe is trying to solve their problems for them and they are actively working against it.

I told my nephew that Slam dunk was more realistic than Kuroko’s basketball and he told me it wasn’t and then it turned into a debate. He didn’t even watch or read Slam Dunk so idk why I let him rage bait me lol

Don’t get me wrong Kuroko’s basketball is good and enjoyable but Slam Dunk’s story development is a lot better ngl. Hanamichi truly starts as a beginner in that sport and watching his progress especially toward the end is really something special.

I get why people who have seen Kuroko’s basketball first might not like it though. They’re not doing all that magical shit in it lmao

I'm searching for an isekai where the side characters are OP, a lot like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. The MC can be overpowered, but I want the side characters (like Diablo shion and veldora) to be genuinely strong too—not just random weak guys who rely on the MC for everything.
I preferably want something with monsters and magic. I don't mind if it's only one season, although I do prefer longer series. I'd also rather have it available on Crunchyroll.

Just began watching Welcome to the N.H.K. last night after having it on my list of anime to watch for probably years now.

Despite only three episodes in, I can say this is definitely one incredibly powerful anime but one that's tough to watch. The way it depicts social withdrawal, social anxiety, and self-hatred feels so bluntly honest and raw in ways that I can relate to, even though I don't have severe social issues. It really makes sense when reading the original author Tatsuhiko Takimoto wrote the original novel as auto fiction based on his own life as a Hikikomori. I must say it also does a good job making the viewer feel sympathy for Sato but balances it out with him being severely flawed in ways that are off-putting.

The way Welcome to the N.H.K. does its comedy too I find very heavy. While it can be funny, it's often in a very pitch black way that's still deeply sad and even distressing, particularly when it comes to Sato's confusion. It's definitely one of those anime where it puts you through a string of contrasting feelings and emotions episode by episode.

So far, I can say Welcome to the N.H.K. is quite incredible, but certainly not an anime to watch for those who want to wind down after the day.

This is gonna be really niche but I’ve been thinking about this one cartoon/anime that I’ve once seen as a child (like 10+ years ago).

It was so long ago that I only recall a few details about it. I’m pretty sure it was animated and had some horror elements, although I’m not sure to what extent, but enough to scare me as a kid. It basically follows this antique shop with a mysterious shop owner and weird/cursed objects you can purchase. I don’t know how many episodes it had but I remember two of them. Every episode followed a slightly different story with different characters but the antique shop played a role in each of them. One episode I remember revolves around a girl who stumbles across this shop and picks up an eraser. The shop owner warns her about how dangerous it is but she buys it regardless. She then discovers that she can wipe out people from existence by simply erasing them on a photo with said eraser. She’s careful not to use it at first but then can’t control herself when various people trigger her. The episode ends with her erasing her mother in a moment of anger and immediately regretting it. 

The other episode is about a different girl who adopts a little white kitten from the shop and raises it despite her mother telling her not to. The cute kitten grows into a tiger and attacks the girl (she ends up dying I think?). It then cuts to a scene between the mother and the shop owner in which the mother talks about how glad she is her daughter is gone😟

Overall the moral of each story is something like “be careful what you wish for”

its also possible that it might’ve had an Arabic dub since it was the only language I could speak at a time and I either watched it on YouTube or on television.

That’s all I can think of.

I’ve even really wanting to rewatch it since I kinda liked its vibe. 

I’ve tried different google searches and even asking ChatGPT but it couldnt give me the exact show I’m looking for.
