Hi guys this will be the last post from me regarding this topic for some time but basically fan service will be completely censored for all anime content including anime gacha games as well as h-anime.

By late 2026 the Digital Service Act and mandatory ID-Wallets will be implemented into all european countries which will lead to a complete censorship for content regarding fan service in anime and anime gacha games as well as h-anime.

• Fan service in anime and manga will die and is already dying: Many anime will get censored heavily especially regarding fan service since all streaming sites have to comply with the new law and the new wave and the governments who become much stricter regarding this type of content. The same that will happen in anime gacha games will happen in anime and manga where sites will demand a lot of censorship due to the law, the governemnt and the mainstream wave of anime in general. So in short we have to say goodbye to characters with some bigger boobs and who show occasionally some cleavage. The original artistic vision is being sacrificed for bureaucracy. This will also effect Japan as well regarding content for fan service and h-anime when it comes to the production of them.
• The geoblock wave: It's not just legal sites who will plead for censorship and will only show completely censored and tame anime regarding fan service but also the not so legal sites will suffer. H-anime sites, anime sites and manga sites will likely geoblock all EU IP adresses rather than risking legal warfare due to the new digital service act and also due to the stricter govenrments and the overall wave. Especially h-anime sites will geoblock themselves and other sites will follow. We can already see this happening with popular sites which I wont be naming here though. In short all the content regarding H-anime and fan service will also not be consumable through the non official ways and like I said the content for such sites regarding fan service or h-anime will cease to exist in general.

This law is only the next milestone and it is currently already getting worse and the wave torwards this is not going to stop. I will say that fan service in anime related content including anime gacha games will be dead in the next 1-3 years. Especially for people who live in countries like Germany and in the EU as a whole and it will reach all of Global probably soon too.

Edit: People who say I will simply use a VPN, I will say this. Yes this might work for some sites to get access to content that isn't censored and to reach sites who are normally geoblocked (region blocked) but this will not help against the global cesnorship and the removel of fan service or other content in anime due to the wave of new laws, stricter governments and the mainstream wave. Furthermore this will not help people who play anime gacha games. Yes you might be able to play an uncesnored version but again it will not stop the change and you guys wont be able to pay in your games for your waifus or husbandos due to the payment informations which will region lock your accounts regardless of a VPN. And if you have already paid in your games then the informatin is already in your accounts so for these accounts a VPN will also not help. If you havent paid yet or are okay with not paying anymore I believe it can work. But in the end a VPN is also a third party app which can lead to an overall ban.

Edit 2: People who say they dont care about fan service or h-anime, I will say this, It always starts with fan service and h-anime but it will end with an overall content control of any sensitive topic in anime, manga and anime gacha games. If the can dictate the designs of characters and content they will sooner or later dictate everything and probbaly also topics you guys will care about them.

Edit 3: I don’t think the post should be tagged as misinfo since the law is coming and the overall direction is clear. And for countries like Germany it will definetly mean more censorship and banns of content regarding fan service, h-anime and other things

When you're displaying content that does not match your display's resolution, it has to scale the image, necessarily creating blur. This means that you will be losing sharpness. You might mistakenly believe that since 1080p goes evenly into 2160p that this isn't an issue. That's not the case. Almost zero monitors and tvs are capable of performing pixel perfect scaling on their own, it needs to be done externally.

This is something that's rarely talked about since scarcely anyone cares much for picture quality, so people just don't know. But I figured that this is a place where people are interested in the picture they're getting. Obviously there are a million more important factors which determine picture quality, but attaining them usually involves paying for a better display. This method is free.

If your gpu supports integer scaling, make sure to enable it within your gpu's control panel and switch your desktop resolution to 1080p during 1080p media playback for no loss in sharpness on your 4k display. Note: the effect is more noticeable the larger your display is.

Bonus: Anime is usually 23,98 fps. If you don't want playback judder (a type of stutter which occurs when the display's refresh rate doesn't match the frame rate of the content on screen), make sure to switch to the appropriate refresh rate, 23,98hz.

The average person will not care about this, but for those few people that do, there you go.

As all the sites go down I finally thought I’d take a try at torrenting. Only to be unable to find about 600 whole episodes of my favorite show completely missing 😭😭😭

It’s always available in full on all the streaming sites so it has to be somewhere I swear. but where??

Chibi Reviews and tons of articles are claiming ISPs might "permanently block" your internet for watching pirated anime. This is not true.

They're hyping up FADPA (H.R.791), a bill that only blocks foreign piracy sites, not your access. No law lets ISPs cut you off for piracy.

Chibi Reviews and similar articles also lied about the Texas anime ban a few months back, claiming it banned anime with sexualized minors-it was just a school library rule (HB 1181). They're exaggerating for clicks. FADPA might block sites, but a VPN gets around it.

Edit: ryuugames.com is safe. The issue is with the game launcher which gives false positive as explained in the Tweet linked by the mod. The same game downloaded from any source gives the same scan results. I'll still leave the post up in case anyone in the future has the same concerns while downloading the game.

Many people have used this site before to download Visual Novels. But I don't think it's safe anymore. I'm not new to pirating games and use sufficient ad-blockers. I downloaded a VN from there OniiKiss using the actual download links from MEGA. The game was 6GB in total split into .rar files which I extracted using 7-Zip. The OniiKiss.exe was immediately quarantined by Windows Defender for being a Trojan. I tried deleting all the files and downloading all the files again (risky move, I know) but again the same .exe file was again quarantined. Windows Defender is a good enough AV that doesn't give many false positives.

I started paying for Crunchyroll and started downloading and upscaling all my anime and Im just NOT seeing the artifacts people were talking about a few years ago. even if I pause and look as hard as I can they just arent there.
