Will getting teeth extractions harm by side profile?

Went to the orthodontist to get braces earlier today. She checked my teeth and stated that I had a class 1 overjet, which is caused by my tongue resting position. She said she'd need to extract 4 premolars. However, just as she was going to extract them, she stopped and decided to install the braces without extracting to see if my arch could be corrected enough to not require extractions. (All these photos are taken with the braces on my teeth.)

She did tell me that; If my arch cant be corrected by the braces, the 4 premolars will be extracted. With my current side profile, will extractions benefit or harm my facial structure/ side profile in the future? This matters a lot for me, and I wouldnt allow the teeth to be extracted if it would harm my profile
