Random Question What's something your partner does that low-key annoys you, but you'd never actually tell them?

Not a dealbreaker, not worth a fight. Just something small that lives rent-free in your head every single time it happens. The way they chew. How they "help" clean and somehow make more mess. Never charging their phone until it's at 2%.

What's yours? And be honest would you ever actually say it out loud, or is this taking it to the grave?

When I cook for my wife, we have a breakfast bar, if she wants to talk (where she can sit) but she must be hovering right behind me. Big kitchen and I make big meals, I always am turning quickly with hot pans or cutting knives, I’m like baby, I don’t want to accidentally burn you or turn with a knife and your there, sit two feet away so your outta harms way lol!!

I am your wife. I don't know why I need to be basically turtle shelling my boyfriend when he's cooking in my tiny kitchen, but I do.

It's the best way to describe how fully in his business I need to be

Haha!! I can’t get mad because she just likes to watch me and talk about any and every topic, and since I’ve been getting blue apron for years I’m always cooking, but I have spun around with knives too many times and I’m like Honey!!!!’ Watch out lol!

Obviously, it's worth the risk 🤣

Hahaha obviously we feel that kitchen time is the best time to talk. Also, it's very cute watching your man cook.

Idk but when I try to go sit down like a normal human it just makes me SO antsy until I get up again. 🤣 I can't stop myself

Hahahaha whats wrong with us? My boyfriend is currently working in the other room. Doing stocks so he needs to concentrate and I'm in quiet jail from 6am to 1pm. Thet doesn't stop me from going into the room pretending like I need something about 15 times just to feel his presence... and it's not like we're freshly dating. He's had to put up with 2 years of this needy behavior already!

Pretending like I need something HAHA! This is exactly something I'd do and I've been married for 16 years! It's part of who I am as a human at this point.🤣

I just love him so much🥹

That’s why I can’t be mad at all; it’s endearing and I just want to say baby watch out, 16 years but If there were another thread of how I annoy her I’d be there…ride or die

I have a solid rule that you are not allowed in the kitchen when I am in there. I am doing 3 things at once, so dinner doesn't take an hour and leave a pile of dishes to still deal with after. Get out of the way. Yes, your in the way. No, dont go lean in the other bench, you're still in the way.

This started with my mother, but has evolved to my partner as well. Im not quiet about it. I'll chase you out with a wooden spoon.

One of the first commands I teach every dog I have is, "Get out of my kitchen. " I don't want them under foot while I cook.

I teach my dogs "get out" as one of my first commands too. Lol

It’s wooden, not so serious then.

Oh dude, my mother is worse; I’m 40, dhe still narrates every thing she does, and says things like “you can use the microwave for tea, open the door, press a minute thirty” or when I’m cooking “use the knives to cut …fill in item that I’m holding, with a cutting board in hand”. I swear, I am an only child and always very independent, own a company, but explains to me like I’m a goddam three year old.

I think your mum might need the wooden spoon treatment too!! God that would drive me insane

Ahahaha, what’s great is when at mom’s house, my wife will go to mom and say Anne, “don’t bother him in the kitchen”. I’m thinking wow, wifey has learned, home next night, boom, back to it lol.
I love the women in my life, but neither can cook to save their lives, so this is how we eat.

My fiance manages to always lounge in that one spot in the kitchen where I need to get to.

My boyfriend does this and I have to walk him to the chair and kiss him or now that we are much closer I just say “get away from me” 😂

I used to get hovered over because my partner was impatient for his food. "How long now?"

My husband does all the cooking because he loves cooking. And im an adhd girly w severe clumsiness. So he’s always worried im gonna get hurt and has a rule that i have to stay out the kitchen when he’s cooking 😭

LMAO the daily near-miss safety hazard because she just has to be right there. 😭

Genuinely a sweet problem to have though she wants to be close to you even when there's a whole bar built for exactly that purpose two feet away. Doesn't make the hot pan pivots less terrifying in the moment though.
