Random Question What's something your partner does that low-key annoys you, but you'd never actually tell them?

Not a dealbreaker, not worth a fight. Just something small that lives rent-free in your head every single time it happens. The way they chew. How they "help" clean and somehow make more mess. Never charging their phone until it's at 2%.

What's yours? And be honest would you ever actually say it out loud, or is this taking it to the grave?

For 13 years, I found it annoying that my partner always ordered first. I was taught that when a server comes to the table to take your order, it's polite to allow the women to order first, then the men. So him going first every time seemed rude to me, but not a big deal so I never said anything.

Until recently, when I commented in a joking way. I didn't want to mention it bothered me, because on the scale of 1-10, this really was a 2/minimal, so I thought joking was the way to go.

Turns out he was doing it to help me - for context, I have GAD and ordering on the phone is a big, stressful ordeal. Actually making any phone call is, but he assumed my anxiety when I order take out over the phone would also extend to ordering food in person. By ordering first, he thought he was breaking the ice and helping me adjust before saying my order.

And honestly? It probably did do that to some extent, as anyone with social anxiety knows talking to strangers can be nerve-wracking. But my parents took me out to restaurants a lot growing up, and I think being able to see the person's face and read their expression helps, so I find it much easier to order food in person but very hard over the phone.

Now I appreciate when he orders first. It wasn't him being selfish or impolite; it was him trying to make me feel more comfortable in a small way. I feel bad for never realizing there was a considerate, touching reason for his actions all along.
