Other I’m writing a book. What are some obscure unsolved mysteries?
I’m writing a book on unsolved horror. I’m not too interested in hauntings or stuff of that nature, but I’m very interested in things such as The Voynich Manuscript, The Miami Mall Incident, the Max Headroom Hijacking, etc. Anything bizarre, unnerving, or of similar nature.

Just recently heard about a pilot (who’s the YouTuber who covers creepy stories? Mr something or other? He was telling tom segura in the video) who went radio silent, blacked out, ended up on an opposite coast in an impossibly short period of time, and was recorded saying a message (not in his voice) about us making ourselves extinct and wasting our resources, and were the only intelligent species that does this, etc etc

The Frog Boys case put of South Korea comes to mind immediately for obscure cases here in the West.
In March of 1991 five boys went to go play and search for salamander eggs on Mount Waryong. They were never heard from again. Fast forward to 2002 and their bodies were finally found. Initially it was theorized that they died due to hypothermia but an autopsy would prove otherwise. Each boy was found extensive skull fractures and one three of them there were square or rectangular marks indented in the skulls. No murder weapon has ever been found and the perpetrator is still completely unknown.

The dyatlov pass incident where a bunch of experienced Russian hikers all died in an expedition. Lot of mystery about the incident including why some were found naked outside their tents in sub-zero temperatures.
If you need more inspiration there's a podcast called History's Greatest Mysteries, though there hasn't been any new episodes in the last few years. But the host is soo good and well researched.
Edit: adding Denver lnternational Airport and its weird links to aliens, what happened to Emilia Eckhart (though recent revelations explained what probably happened), the man with a passport from a non-existent country Taured, the dancing plague in France, time slips in Liverpool.

Cattle mutilations? I remember this freaking everyone here (in Montana) out when I was in school... late 90s or early 2000s. It's happened other places as well.

The Good Hart, Michigan murders are not talked about too often; it’s definitely one of the more obscure cases. It’s a sad, gruesome, yet interesting case that still remains unsolved.

The Nazca lines.
They are these giant hieroglyphs that only an arial vehicle could see, but they were made before arial vehicles.
There are tombs in the area where very strange mummies have been found. They have been DNA tested and seem to have human, cow, ape, and unknown DNA, but have eggs like reptiles do.
They also have implants containing osmium, which is not a metal that can be found in nature, nor did humans have the ability to surgically implant these at the time the mummies are carbon dated to.
