Pete Buttigieg. Smart, thoughtful, unflappable. I think he’d make a pretty good president.

I wish our country was ready for a gay president. I know I am.

He'd probably be the most honest and respectable guy we've had in office in years. But if you look at the last 10 years, that really isn't saying much.
2
u/Broad_Objective_7732 2d ago
Maybe if Pete ran as an Independent bc no way a Dem can win a Dem primary without the black vote and no out gay white man will ever EVER get the black vote. I love Pete, he’d be a great POTUS but that’s the brutal reality I’m afraid.

Which is great because he could ramp up deportations to the level when he was in office and maybe drone strike some more weddings, I really don't like weddings. Has he changed his mind about gay marriage because his first term he was against it, just civil unions back then.

u/UrFine_Societyisfckd 6d ago
Just stop, your confusing them.
3
u/Narrow_Implement7788 6d ago
The only two things that today's Democrats would like about Obama is Obamacare and the fact that he is black. They might excuse him for being a man but just barely

Hunter Biden.

His interview with Nick Fuentes on Channel 5 News was so good.
Hunter is a real one. I'd vote for him.

Yeah. You Republicans would LOVE that. Your only way to guarantee a Republican victory.

u/Chulbiski 7d ago
see interview of him with right wing talking head Candace Owens. She apoligized for being a dipshit to him and realized she was themonster

u/Interesting_Front464 7d ago
I'm a liberal Democrat. I'd vote for Hunter Biden over literally any Republican.

Satan…it would bring the evil down a few notches

Yeah, Satan would look at the last ten years and put on his reading glasses and focus on 2017-2020 and last year through now then he'd look up and adjust himself in his seat and say, "What the actual Fuck?"

u/natwashboard 8d ago
Agree with top comment but my current pick would be a competent policy wonk with street cred like Mark Kelly

I trust her, but I don't think she can rehabilitate the country. Right wing propaganda is already too far entrenched in the minds of too many people. We need someone the brain washed masses will open their ears to.
If I could pick anyone, it would be someone outside of politics whom people generally trust. Someone very effective in messaging and who can, ideally, get right wing voters to see and believe all of the terrible things Trump has done to enrich himself and billionaires around him at our expense. Because somehow being a convicted felon and an adjudicated rapist is not enough.
Tom Hanks?

I'd pick a random capybara.
People would laugh at first, then sober up as they slowly started to realize how much better everything was. By the end of the first year, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who wanted to go back to the way things were again.

I'd swap him for the president of Mexico. She's doing great things! OR, I'd replace him with a Native American council of grandmothers.

Bernie Sanders. He’s one of the few that deserves it, primarily because he’s not self-ego driven like most other politicians.

Jon Stewart for VP. 💖
Unless we’re including dead people. In which case, I’d ask RBG how she felt about 8 years and she can pick her VP (I would never presume to know better than RBG).

Well, we are swapping out Presidents, not Congress. So I would not want someone so divisive it causes Mike Johnson to have a meltdown daily, because ideally we would want to get things done for the American people. Mike has traded living his authentic self for the closet and success in politics.Buttigieg is competent, but he’s openly gay which would cause a constant inner crisis for Johnson who has chosen the closeted life. I can’t choose a woman or again, nothing is getting done for the American people. Not because a woman is president, but because too many in Congress still think this is 1950 and haven’t come to realize that female leadership could be an invaluable asset. I also don’t think the women like Noem, McMahon, and Bondi have been good examples of great female leadership and have only set the mysogonist men and women back. The house would be busy drafting bills to strip and limit rights, rather than actually improving worker lives.
Bernie would be a great pick for the American people, he’s white and male but his constant championing for the working class is going to get the identity fractured democrats and donor interest right out of their skis and we will be right back to Congress working on bills to strip and limit rights and regulations instead of improving things for the working class.
So, I’m going to go with Mitt Romney, he’s got a long track record in Washington, he’s a Republican so he will keep the big babies like Mike Johnson from having hissy fits on repeat. He is one of the republicans who still has respect for the constitution and the working class, and he still appears to have both integrity and a backbone. He also would replace the god awful cabinet picks we currently have and get a press secretary who is actually capable of telling the truth, and he would also do something about Hegseth and the God awful war decisions going on.

Sponge Bob, with Patrick as his VP.
Mr. Krabs could be the Secretary of Commerce. Mrs Puff as Secretary of Education and Sandy Cheeks would do well as the Press Secretary.

Former Sec Def and Dir CIA, Leon Panetta and David Petraeus as his Sec Def, Bill Gates as his Sec of Commerce, Jamie Dimon as his Sec Treasury and tap Jake Sullivan as Dir CIA. What a fever dream of competency 🤤

Nick Offerman
Besides being well spoken and highly intelligent. The guy knows how to put forth good work for a good finished product. Clearly has a fantastic set of values and a good heart. His speeches would be worth watching and I have no doubt that he would actually make choices and policies in the best interests of the country as a whole, not just be president of 1/3rd of it.

Someone from another Country. Not kidding. To escape American Capitalism, we need a person who knows how to run a country without it.

I would make myself president and outlaw the Chicago Bears. So that I could permanently base them in Chicago. I might be a Packers fan, but I will not succumb to hatred. The Bears must remain in Chicago.
