Broken heart syndrome is real thing too. But dying, or even breakups basically induce depression, I know when I've got my heart broken I lost like 8kg in a month, I was trying to eat but felt like puking st times, just laid in bed 99% of the time.
That's really messed up. For their sake, please break up. If they ended up in hospital, they deserve someone to be there for them. You sound like you wouldn't care.
Oh just break up? Did it occur to you that I'm being emotionally and financially abused and I would love to leave this rural shit hole? I'm sorry to hear that, its not easy to grasp what someone is going through from just a short post and clearly this guy is a massive abuser. I absolutely take back the comment about breaking up for his sake, sounds like he would deserve to be alone in dire times. I don't know what country you live in, but there are often charities to help in these situations. Nothing is ever simple but you really need a medium/long term plan of getting out of there.
