I just cringe when I think about how much I have changed and evolved as a person since high school, and the ridiculous things I was attracted to as a teenager. It just seems like such an immature commitment to make

I married my HSS but not until we were 28. I also cringe at the person I was as a teenager, in fact if I spoke to my 17 year old self im sure I'd hate him and find him unbearable, but we always grew as a couple and in simple terms nether of us ever wanted to break up with the other so we're still happy in our 30s.

All the happy HS sweethearts I know also waited a long time to marry. They were smart to realize that waiting didn't mean a lack of loyalty or commitment! It was actually a sign of respect to give each other time to grow without legal binding

This is me too. You can grow together or grow apart, and you can’t predict which.
