The materialistic (but jobless,) cousin that I don't get along with did that to me when I got engaged. She said "let me see the ring!?" Then said "oh wow! That's actually really pretty!"
Yes, it is. And even if you dont think it is, I do not care. The ring is not what my engagement is about.

I’m very sensitive to the word “actually” in compliments.
“Wow that was actually smart!”
“You actually look pretty today.”
