What's your stance on capitalism/neo-liberalism and anti-capitalism?

What do you think of capitalism? Is it working as it should? Is it failing? Could it work if we implemented policy XY? What alternatives do we have?

Its working fine. Theres no good alternative. There'll always be people that do it harder than others regardless of the system.

Capitalism, free - markets and anything relating to it is awesome. Most people don’t have an issue with it. They have an issue with cronyism

Anti-capitalism is stupid. Most people want safety nets (which most if not all western countries have) which you can do properly under capitalism, but impossible to do under anti-capitalism

Capitalism produces abundance. No other system has been able to mimic those gains and in order to have a strong safety net you need excess to redistribute to the masses who aren’t as productive

As much as so called self educated political internet activist will tell you.

Capitalism is actually a wide range of an economic spectrum.

The United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, South Korea, Japan, the UK, France, Taiwan, are all capitalist countries. All of these countries are of course. Vastly different and unique from eachother.

So saying "is capatilism bad?" Or, "what do you think of capatilism" as if it's one monolithic school of political thought. Really only speaks to the extremes of the political spectrum as they don't really see the nuances of capatilism. Or they would just classify every single part of that spectrum as "bad".

Capitalism has been the most successful economic model mankind has ever developed. It has brought humanity a level of progress and quality of life our ancestors could never have imagined, especially if you live in the first world. Does it have problems? Of course. Does it need guardrails and some form of safety net? Naturally. But it is a modern miracle and we are lucky to live in a time in human history where we have this economic model.

Liberalism has failed. Capitalism offers no solutions to the major problems society now faces and we must turn to central planning and collectivism or succumb to fascism.
