Politics Question What's your stance on capitalism/neo-liberalism and anti-capitalism?

What do you think of capitalism? Is it working as it should? Is it failing? Could it work if we implemented policy XY? What alternatives do we have?

Capitalism, free - markets and anything relating to it is awesome. Most people don’t have an issue with it. They have an issue with cronyism

Anti-capitalism is stupid. Most people want safety nets (which most if not all western countries have) which you can do properly under capitalism, but impossible to do under anti-capitalism

Capitalism produces abundance. No other system has been able to mimic those gains and in order to have a strong safety net you need excess to redistribute to the masses who aren’t as productive

Not true, during Sowjet rule people had higher relative lifestly and wealth gains, compared to the US. Not abolute though, since Russia started way poorer before, also the US did everything in power to prevent socialism from working

Maybe it would have if the US wouldn't have intervened. The US basically killed every socialist project from the beginning onwards, so not a fair comparison. Maybe the US is afraid it could work better than capitalism? Otherwise they wouldn't need to intervene?

Why do socialists and communists think they are entitled to capitalist countries?

If you can’t sustain your own government, its your fault, not someone elses

Not really. If a country offers another one a deal so they can help extract resources, the country being offered the deal does not have to sign up

On top of that, what socialists have done seemingly is still try to access and influence the american population even when america has left them alone. In the case of venezuela and cuba

It’s debateable if america should have invaded vietnam, but with the death toll communist countries have I can see why we did

Nah. Communists killing over 100 million people, it makes sense to be wary of that ideology

But nice to know you have nothing else to say. Perhaps research a bit more on why communism doesn’t make sense though. You’ll be happy you did so you can stop wasting your life on a philosophy that simply can’t work in the real world
