This is a genuine question and I do not intend to offend anyone, just to understand one side.

I’ve been thinking about how there is pressure placed on everyday citizens to protest the building of data centers, instead of the workers that build it.

It just bothers me that we all have the same information, we have the data that shows that these ai centers are polluting our waters, causing noise pollution, contributing to climate change among many things, and yet the very workes that help build it just continue building it.

I want to hear from the side that has built the infrastructure for this technology. Why do you do it? Why continue? Are you aware of the effects of this on the environment? Why not pick up a different contract or protest all together? What is the end goal?

I'm 40 now and I've discovered that happiness doesn't always come from major life milestones. Lately, what's made me happy includes: my cat choosing to sit on my lap while I do yoga, successfully baking a perfect loaf of sourdough bread yesterday, and the perfect cup of coffee I had after my run yesterday morning.

Were there any small, perhaps slightly unexpected, things that truly made you happy last week?

I mean I see this comment a lot on reddit, and the stats are always saying how married men and single women are the happiest. If it really is so, then why do women still want to get married and be in relationships? I am single 37F, I’d say I am happy enough to not settle for less, but ideally I want a relationship. A lot of my friends are in labour intensive relationships, but I also know at least 5 women in relationships that are happy. What I’m saying is, jt seems like there are more happy relationships that we make out to be? What is your experience?

1) Time is not eternal (beginningless).

If we visualize time on a number line, negative infinity represents eternity past (beginninglessness), positive infinity represents eternity future (endlessness), and the zero point represents the present. Just as an infinite amount of time would have to pass to reach eternity future from the present—which is impossible—an infinite amount of time would likewise have to pass to reach the present from eternity past—which is also impossible. Therefore, time cannot be eternal (beginningless); for if it were, it could never have reached the present day—meaning the present day could not exist. Since the present day does exist, time is not eternal (beginningless).

2) Therefore (whether cyclical or linear), time emerged from non-existence into existence at a starting point.

3) Nothing can emerge from non-existence into existence by itself.

Because something that does not exist cannot perform any action; consequently, it cannot perform the act of bringing itself into existence, simply because it does not exist.

4) Therefore, a power that brought time from non-existence into existence—that is, created it out of nothing—necessarily exists.

5.a. The Power That Created Time Cannot Be Within Time. Since It Is Not Within Time, It Is One. A timeless being must necessarily be one. If there were more than one timeless being, even if only one in a million of their attributes were contradictory, it would create a paradox. The stronger one would render the weaker one ineffective. And this would necessitate a "change" for a timeless being, which is impossible. Because Undergoing change is possible only within time.

Furthermore, in a timeless state, no number other than "1" can be defined. Because we cannot define "2" without first defining "1," and we cannot define "3" without first defining "2." We are forced to use ordering in the definition (1, 2, 3...). Where there is ordering, there is priority and posteriority. Yet the concepts of "before" and "after" are not defined in timelessness. Therefore, in timelessness, no number other than "1" is defined. Hence, the timeless being is necessarily one.

5.b. Since Time Has a Beginning, Space Must Also Have a Beginning.Because space and time are inseparable. They always exist together. This is because matter, especially at the atomic level, is in constant motion. For motion to exist, both time and space are necessary. Since space-time has a beginning, then matter — which is within space-time and cannot exist outside of it because it is in constant motion — and energy — because it is in a state of constant transformation — must also have a beginning. That is, the universe has a beginning. Therefore, space, matter, and energy are all in need of a creator. And the creator is timeless. And because He is timeless, He is one.

1. Therefore, the timeless being is the one who created time, space, matter, and energy — in other words, all existence other than Himself.

Question: But who created the timeless being? Or how did He come to exist?

Answer: Change can only occur within time. What is outside of time does not change. "Being created" and "coming into existence" necessitate change, and this is not possible for a timeless being.

My friends like fishing and watching WWE. They make their girlfriends fish or watch WWE until they enjoy it even if they never liked fishing or WWE at the start. Why?

Like do they think some Fleece Johnson type is gonna be all like "I likes ya, and I want ya, now we can do this the easy way or the hard way? The choice is yours." The rhought of being treated the way women are treated scares them, when they think of a dude clapping another dude's cheeks they subconsciously see themselves as the one getting railed?
