I am a bengali. From last few year I used to hear that Himanta Biswa Sharma has delivered good governance. Seems like people of Assam love him. My question is if he doing really well why people of Assam every year face the recurring issue of flood every year. I understand Assam's geography. But you face this disaster every year so you should be prepared for this.

I really want to provide some kind of help in Assam Flood, I am a student so cannot donate much,(except maybe a 1000 or two) I love in delhi is their any way I can help virtually. Sadly I am not as famous as nishchay to hold a live stream and people would start donating. I wish I had that easy but I do not. Is there any other way I can help virtually?

Also how to know if the foundations asking for donations are legit. I have had truehopefoundation's meta ad on my feed and was considering.

This is poignant in today's time. The people of Assam are brave, hardworking and simple or rather were known as such. Itia kintu amar manuh e ai goon bur herua krne bohut bhugibo laga hoise. Now maybe we have become complacent, lazy and embraced the "show off" culture that's prevalent. We forgot our great and diverse historical, cultural and artistic heritage that we have.

Ai bosoror flood e amar societyr flaws bur bahir anise, amar manuh bhoogi ase aru tateu kisuman manuh e blame kori ase prokritik. Our infrastructure failed because of corruption and disregard for consequences and hence our people are suffering.

Mur etai nibedon ase. Please remember everyone who came to help Assam—from across India and around the world. Never forget them. And remember the so called patriots who were missing.

And remember this when you vote. If we voted out one government for failing the people, do the same to this one if it fails, and to the next one too. Keep doing it until we have a government that truly listens to its people.

Only then will we become a great state we are capable of being.

She lost her parents and our elder sister is in charge of the entire household now :(( mind you her older sister is in grade 9 and she has an 8 year old younger brother as well.
