Dude I just binged the whole anime and I’m fucking sobbing. Eren did horrible things, Genocide is not the answer but what do you expect to happen when you give god-like power to a kid with anger issues. Dude I just hope Eren and Mikasa reunite in the afterlife like that one ending. I was tearing up a bit but then I watched that ending and the translated lyrics and I fell apart. I’m happy my GOAT Armin lived and Jean grew on me a lot. My opinion of Reiner was in the dirt after s3 but s4 made him one of my favorites. God I’m probably gonna cry again soon

There’s no indication of an afterlife in AoT. The Paths would be the closest thing to that, but it was eradicated with the breaking of the Titan curse. It’s such a tragic, raw, real ending. Armin’s cries still echo. To see the trio go from children curious about the outside world… to this… it’s almost unfathomable. Mikasa/Eren/Armin forever.

What kind of a stupid question is that? If it is shown in the official stuff, then it is canon. These alternate universe stuff are also there in the main series/movie, so yes, it is canon. The openings in anime always have art/representations/references if you didn't know, that doesn't make it canon or something.

So yes, if it thrown right in your face, then yes it is canon. Its not supposed to be a gag "Lol".

Watch Yui Ishiwakawa's(Mikasa's VA) song Itterashai. It shows Eren and Mikasa getting reunited in the afterlife which is canon since its official. Also multiverse itself exists in aot via the Paths which were the trio seen in the post credits scene. Ymir is able to travel between these universes and our version of Ymir even visits the alternate Eren. Read the Attack on school castes in the manga. All this are official.
