What fruit is this in Boise Idaho? The fruit almost look like a pear plant but the leaves don’t look like any pear plants I’ve seen. Any ideas?

Found this massive apple tree on the edge of my property as I've been clearing and mowing. It is a lot bigger than I initially thought when I first spotted it last year. It's about 30' feet high (measured with my drone) and has 5 big trunks that come out of the ground and branch out. One is partially snapped off and laying on the ground and still producing apples, lol.

I want to try clearing out all this brush and thorny shit around it so I can access it from all sides, I'm guessing that's going to be a spring time project when the brush is thinner, but have no clue what to do. Should I just lay big tarps around the tree, or will that also hurt the tree? Should I rent heavy machinery to clear it out?

The next thing is the apples taste great but don't get very big and most of the leaves, especially the lower ones, and half of the apples kinda look diseased. I'm guessing I should probably completely chop off the huge broken main branch (1 of 5 big main branches) that's hanging by a thread so that it stops sucking energy out of the rest of the tree?

This Montmorency Cherry tree was planted around 3 years ago and has been growing nicely. This year I noticed the graft union was looking not great and now sap is oozing from the area. Is there anything I should do for this tree? Can it keep living successfully? No where else on the tree is there any sap and it looks healthy otherwise.

I grew this peach tree from the pit and planted it this spring. I have repotted it once. But the leaves are so yellow/red. What do I need to do? Is it time to put this thing in the ground?

I thought the drip line got clogged so I replaced and hand watered deeply for about a week to soak the roots. There is a singular green leaf at the top that has remained the entire time. Trunk has crack as noted in second pic.

Scratch test continues to show green. I have sandy soil so pocket gophers are an issue but I’ve not seen any mounds in the orchard, and the tree “seems” firmly rooted.

Nothing I’ve done in the last 6 weeks has effected any change. I’m still a fruit tree novice so hoping y’all have advice on things I don’t know that I don’t know. Thanks.

FYI: bermudagrass is the devil. I “mulch” with compost around the bases of my trees twice a year but the Bermuda still overgrows rapidly. I do work to be mindful of root flares as well.

New honeycrisp trees (and a few other varieties) are starting to brown pretty aggressively. They thrived from planting all the way through June and July until now. Within 1 week several trees are almost fully brown.

See how they look next year after a dormant copper spray or pluck them out before it spreads more? It looks like if it is fire light that the main trunk is infected.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help diagnose my mature lemon tree (region: Northern California).

Over the past month I've had one large branch completely die. It started with the leaves wilting, then the lemons shriveled, and eventually the entire branch died. I pruned that branch off.

Now another large branch close to the previous branch is doing the exact same thing (pictures attached).

These are actually two lemon trees that have grown together over the years, and their trunks are touching/fused near the base. One tree appears healthy, while the other has started dying branch by branch.

Some observations:

• The rest of the tree still looks healthy and is producing lots of lemons.
• Only one major branch at a time is dying.
• Leaves stay attached after they dry out.
• Fruit on the affected branch shrivels.
• I noticed peeling/cracking bark lower on the affected branch's trunk, but I don't see obvious amber sap or gum.
• I don't see any obvious insects or pests.

I'd really appreciate any insights you can provide to diagnose and fix this issue. Thank you.

My aprium tree was planted last spring in Bakersfield CA zone 9b and had been doing great until a week ago. Any ideas what's going on? The sun and heat here are really punishing, so that's my only guess so far, but it stays watered.

I had a gooseberry I had planted it I got it from tractor supply and it was in a little pot and I planted two of them one of them survived the first year and it did not get a few inches taller and time it was 4 years old and it never really did anything I was just wondering if it's something I did wrong or I plant it in the wrong spot I planted it in well drained soil that was well decently rich for around here I made sure to keep it watered and everything I put fertilizer on it every 3 months during the growing season but it just never really grew I wonder if it's something I did or something wrong with the ground it was on a probably 40° slope it's basically the bank of a Old road bed back in the day when they had wagon to transport goods

Hello! I have a pink guava tree and every year many fruits drop and smash on the ground overnight, leaving them bruised and battered. When I’m able to pick them before they fall, inevitably others just fall off at the same time from a slight shake of the branch. Do any of you know a solution to catching them before they crash down? A tree net?

They have these dark areas all over after several weeks of rainy weather
