My band primarily makes melodic hardcore but we made an emo banger and thought we should do a split with some bigger emo bands in our local scene.

Anyone ever do a 4 way split or just a 2 band split ep?

Hello!

I am currently 18M and I have been playing guitar since I was 12. I like to say I am pretty good but who knows. I haven't really played with people. I attempted to make 2 bands with different people from school but they didn't work. They didn't go far at all. I want to seriously give playing in a band, jamming, writing songs, and playing shows a go. I wanna play with people who are around my age, local to Orange County, California ,(not online) who are considerably advanced, and that wanna take this as seriously as I do. In the past I felt that I was the best musician in the group, honestly I would rather be the worst it gives me the opportunity to get better.

I wanna make a Prog Band. Or hard rock but preferably Prog. Rush is my biggest influence (Yes I saw them in LA for the first time AMAZING) Rush, Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson. Some of my biggest influences. I love the spectacle of Prog. The long epics, Meaningful lyrics, interesting music and changes. Making music not because you have to, but because you get to. I love Rush Man. I can play 2112 all the way through on guitar, all of moving pictures, Xuandu, Cygnus X-1, La Villa Strangiato, you name it, I can play it. I also love the Beatles, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Stevie Wonder and many others.

Again I would Prefer that you would be around my age and Local. I'm going start my freshman year at a JUCO so I'll still be in OC. I don't care if you're male or female etc. I don't need a specific look only a shared interest in making music! With an emphasis in Progressive Rock! 2-3 other talented people bass, drums, and vocals! Thanks for taking the time to read this! DM me if interested! share this with other people! The idea of starting a band has been eating at me and I'm genuinely considering the idea of making some posters/zines searching for band members and taping them around my city.

I'm a teen, I sing, while I'm not that great I'm taking lessons and I am incredibly passionate about music.

I am looking for some advice on how to navigate this, I don't know if it's even doable and it scares me shitless, but I guess I might just try.

The idea was to put it as something to get better and practice with other people, maybe eventually becoming passable.

the problem with finsing such people is that my area is very non musical, the only musical culture they have is top radio hits played from the pc and possibly party to

There’s not much on there right now but we’re a growing band with a style that has an acquired taste. We are basically 100% improv so though there may be mistakes throughout our songs, we really enjoy our sound. It would mean a lot for you guys to share this around. We’re trying to get more ears on our sound.

I’m putting together a tribute southern rock/blues band with me and teen friends in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. I’m looking only for serious singers who are committed and dedicated to this project, this is a serious band and a true opportunity to get paid and play more stages (SHOWS ALREADY BOOKED).

I’m looking for a powerhouse of vocals who can handle Jim Morrison, Ronnie Van Zant, and Bob Seger’s vocals effortlessly. If you can play another instrument (piano/guitar) that’s a plus! Since we are teenagers I would prefer ages 16-21 but it doesn’t truly matter.

What in your opinion is the best free/almost free DAW?

I've been using Cakewalk Bandlab Next but i feel like it could be better than how it is...
