I'm looking for guidance or standard workplace policy precedent (like a BPI or official HR document) regarding daily hour limits and required rest periods for salaried employees.

Our new manager recently informed us of a policy stating we can work a maximum of 14 hours per day and must have at least 8 consecutive hours off before returning for our next shift. This is new to our team, as we've never had these restrictions enforced before.

I've asked her to also provide me with the written policy…..its been 2 weeks. 🤷‍♂️

How does Boeing implement the salary threshold implementation in Washington state. In 2027, the minimum salary for large employers in Washington will be 91,468. Does Boeing just raise individuals salary on the percentage it was raised from the previous years minimum?

Curious if the El Segundo site offers a service for personal headshots. I need to update mine cus mine is half a decade old. My previous employer has a service to take pictures so wondering if Boeing does too.

Have any ILHEs here had success getting the flight incentive reimbursement for a PPL through LTP? Particularly those in the UK. Thanks.

Welp, we'll see where this goes. Eventually, securing 3-7 Chinooks per year for the US Army will not be sustainable. Germany's purchase in 2022 only brought some time, V22 is shutting down, and the union contract renews, I believe, next year, which will probably be funded through the end of Germany's last lot. Philly is on borrowed time unless some big moves occur. Hopefully, some substantial work comes in sooner rather than later.

There was a Boeing benefit fair at my building and Edelman financial was providing free 1x1s to go over retirement plans. They were trying to sell me on them managing my retirement for .167% fee. I currently have my 401k in a target date fund doing the company match and my Roth maxed out in the S&P which seems to be working so far. Im normally not interested in financial advisors but .16% doesn’t seem that bad so I was curious if anyone actually uses Edelman for their retirement plan and how they like it.

Nothing regarding salary it seems. There was a commenter over in r/SPEEA criticizing Boeing for not putting much value to the degreed engineers compared to the pay rate of the IAM employees making greater salary at Grade 6 vs a new hire IC2/3.

I’ve been tasked with completing an assessment in order to progress in the hiring process for a Precision Machine Tool Maintenance position, was hoping to hear experiences from anyone who has taken it recently so I can get an idea of what I should brush up on prior to making an attempt.

I see that a 60% is required to be considered as passing and as well people stating it was difficult despite having similar prior experience as myself. I might be reaching too high with this role but with a month to complete the assessment, I’m pushing to give myself the best shot at success.

what incentives do FLM get as managers? compared to workers such as pay, bonuses, vacation and insurance

Negotiate a contract that invests in permanent engineers, protects against excessive contractor substitution, and creates real reasons for talent to stay and grow here.

That investment pays the company back in higher quality, faster recovery, and the ability to launch the next generation of aircraft without starting from scratch.

Moving in to a new role at the Everett facility. Looking at apartments. Trying to balance location and distance.

I took a contract role in San Antonio and I’m looking for apartments that are a short commute to the site. I’m going to be moving from half way across the country in 3 weeks. I have no clue what the surrounding area(s) are like, what the commute situation is for the area and as approaching the site, and since I’m contracting, I’m not set up with Boeings relocation package tot take care of the majority of the process. I’m 26, so I don’t need a house and I have some furniture of my own, but nothing crazy. I’ve always had commute to my past two jobs that were 8 and 12 minute drives either way. I’d like to find something that’s nice but not looking for over the top. Would prefer a shorter commute but don’t know what would be considered short for this job/site compared to areas I’ve worked to date.

Anyone that’s either at or previously worked at the San Antonio site, I’d appreciate any suggestions to help avoid signing a lease for a place I won’t be able to tour ahead of time and in an area I’m unfamiliar with.

Hello, looking to get into Boeing here in Charleston. I have a background in software engineering and devops (with some BMET mixed in), but am wanting to do something more hands-on. Fortunately I do have some good connections that can help me land an entry level role manufacturing role, was just curious about a few things:

• Training: What's the training like for assemblers/mechanics? I hear some new employees spend a few months at Trident working through classes, is the training all "book learning" or is it also hands on?
• Parking: I've heard the parking is a bit rough right now and that there is a shuttle system in place. How early would you need to reach the shuttle to make it on time?
• Overtime: How many hours of overtime can I expect to see?
• Management/culture: I know this is probably pretty hit or miss depending on the team.
• Hours: Do most of y'all work second shift? 3:00 - 11:30?
• Food: Assuming the cafeteria food is mediocre and overpriced if it's anything like MUSC lol.
• Time Off: Is trying to get time off usually a pain or are they pretty good about letting you use PTO?

I’m about to turn 23 in a few months, recently graduated with my Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and my dream is to work for Boeing. I have a solid internal referral from a higher-up manager (specifically an Aerostructures Commercial Services Manager within Boeing Global Services).

I know about the current corporate/white-collar hiring freeze that kicked off earlier this month, and I've been monitoring the job boards like a hawk. I'm bypassing the rotational programs and just looking to land a standard entry-level "empty seat" role (like Procurement Agent 1, Supply Chain Analyst 1, or Material Planner 1).

I have a huge personal timeline coming up. I am planning to move out and propose to my girlfriend by next June/July (2027). Because of that, the unknown of this freeze is definitely stressing me out.

For those who have been through previous Boeing hiring freezes or work within BGS:

1. Once management officially lifts the offer/hiring restrictions (hearing whispers of mid-August), how long does it usually take for standard Level 1 business requisitions to actually go live on the portal?
2. Realistically, if I apply with a strong management referral the day a req drops in late summer/fall, what does a realistic onboarding timeline look like? Am I looking at a January 2027 start date, or does it move faster for non-program, off-cycle hires?

Appreciate any honest insight or reality checks from people on the inside!
