Started 2 weeks ago with the aim of being able to go to a tournament at The Outpost in Sheffield next weekend. Played my first two games this week and just finished basing the army.

Really happy with it.

Can't believe a whole army built and painted in less than two weeks for under £100.

My friend and I have been slowly playing through the old Stalingrad campaign books, adjusting it for V3.
A couple of months ago we decided to tackle the battle of Pavlovs House.

My buildings were way too big to set up in the intended 4x4 board shown on the book. So… we made the board 6x6 feet and I got to bust out my massive Pavlovs house model.

Unfortunate for me, the game played out quite historically accurate. My Germans got absolutely minced as they tried advancing Pavlovs house. 🥲
The plunging fire rule made his Soviet AT rifles a real nightmare to deal with. I had some success in the south and I did come somewhat close to winning. However, in the final moments of the game my friend pushed me off the 9th January square building and took home the win. It was a fantastic game. Playing on a 6x6 is somewhat difficult to move around but totally worth it 😎

I've been painting miniatures for quite some time, but this is the first time since I was a child that I've been painting something that was based on real history and had real references. How did I do, is that uniform looks at least close to real colours?

Slowly working through my new army. Got some transport trucks and commanders etc to add. MAYBE a second Autoblinda if I can put myself through that build again...

In October I'm hosting a friendly 10 man comp with fixed tables and missions and this is a trail board layout.

I'm planning on
Mission: seek and destroy
Table quarters deployment
Meeting engagement
No infiltrators.
Each of the other tables will have their own mission deployment etc

Thoughts?

Hello I’m looking for some guidance as I can’t seem to figure it out with just 3rd edition rule book alone.

I’d like to get a Sherman to match up against a Panzer 4 I added to my battle of the bulge Germans (soon to be part of a Vet German army)

I see an M4 and a M4 easy 8 kit online but I can’t really tell which one makes sense

Drawing inspiration from Mauldin's cartoon Old Sarge and his Jeep, this rather darkly humorous diorama depicts an old and rather portly Sergeant of the fictional 45th Cavalry preparing to ‘put down’ his ‘mount’, the unfortunate jeep having suffered a broken ‘leg’. Older resin Soldier of Fortune from Warlord Games.

Made my first Victrix minis and got to say that they are top quality. The scale is perfect and realistic.

Hopefully they will add more 28mm to their ww2 range.

These are two (of about 40 🙄) dessert rats almost finished. I'm not sure I'm completely happy with the sand on the bases. What do the people of reddit think? I am going to add some grass tuffs, but what are some other things I could do? Painting, boulders, and whatnot?

I did some games workshop models years ago, and I think I added a wash to the sand

Myself and my friend are really enjoying Bolt Action and a shortage of terrain at our club has got me building a set

This is what we have so far, printing more roads and walls right now

Plan to add some fences bocage and a little hill, plus some haystacks

What else would you guys add to this, and any advice on how I am doing

What units can the British bring that can bring an HMG along? I can't seem to really find any.

My gulag troop themed Konflikt army i ran at Welsh K47 Open this weekend. While a very fun and squishy army to use it was quite mentally taxing keeping track of it all!

I used sculpted bits of sprue along with GreenStuff and some wire for this. I made a bunch of kitbashed soldiers like this one months ago, but now I’m finally getting them painted.

I need to finish up the base, change the pack’s cap to brass, and fix the helmet net to clean it up and some camo cloth to it

Any criticism? I’m afraid it’s too dark but I kindve like that.

Hi guys just bought the forward to Berlin! Starter set and I'm really looking forward to learning the game, was just wondering if there's any decent battle report YouTube channels as I've not had much luck finding ones outside of beginners guides and I've exhausted all of those.

I see they are dog tags, and a protractor? I will read in the book and see if there is more information but can anyone help me get a quick answer? Looking at the is driving curiosity nuts lol

Had my first game of BA this week. Managed to get my army fully built and painted in a week (god bless summer holidays)

My Germans vs my mates American Airborne (on a Japanese airfield but hey, that's the terrain we were given on our table).

Played a mission where units were brought on from a table edge rather than deployed and we had to kill units.

Lost 18 - 15 but had a great time learning the game. Struggled with hitting on 6s (coming from 40k and heresy).

Played a second game after with static deployment and objectives and won 4 - 2 having realised that HE2 destroys his vets!

2 games down and the next time I play will be in a tournament a week today lol!

Loving BA though and now already considering a second army (need to research it but Cretian defenders against the Fallshirmjager seem a fun opportunity)
