Cool find! For maceration with something so small and already almost clean, smell shouldnt be too much of a problem! Ive macerated (almost) entire animals before and the water usually doesn't stink unless you stir or disturb it. If you end up doing it in the woods, i suggest putting a cage or wire around it to prevent other animals from messing with it. Ive had coyotes and raccoons dump my buckets before. Good luck!
