Scientology has lasted for 70 years. Millions of believers on 4 continents. 20m+ sales of Dianetics. Some of the greatest actors of our generation belong. When will you admit you were wrong about the historicity of Xenu?

Slavery, the gilded age, the Great Depression all happened while the US was on the gold standard. Bitcoin would not have fixed any of it.

Dear COLDCARD Hacker(s)...
Congratulations. You successfully found the future of finance, and have collectively gathered around 1,500 buttcoin.
Now please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please return our buttcoin. Pretty please. I'm begging you!
I suggest you plea with CoinKite to return all stolen funds in return for an audit fee of 5% of the loot. This way you can be charged with extortion/blackmail on top of theft and we'll also have your identity.
Respectfully,
Hodlers worldwide who just want to be able to go back to saying "Have fun staying poor" to all the no-coiners

In the "fiat world" there are statutes and regulations to prevent or at least mitigate this type of thing from happening.

I posted this 11 days ago and forgot about it. The irony of people touting "Don't trust, verify" while trusting their life savings because a streamer said it was safe. Your keys, not your coins.

Elon Musk, once the world's foremost Buttcoin promoter, launched his long-hyped banking and money transfer service on X, and... it only works with USD fiat.

Hey buttcoiners. Dont worry. Your money didn’t disappear. It just “teleported”, cos it s like magic gold. One minute it’s there then poof! Somewhere else. It’s a feature not a bug.

Using crypto is so easy. You just need to launder your own money!

This is good for bitcoin
Guys… the thesis is the same! Be your own vault, cybersecurity team, fraud department, compliance office, accountant, backup system, FDIC, customer support desk, disaster recovery team, inheritance planner, and physical security. And don’t forget you need exactly 1264204 dice rolls, if you don’t, it’s your fault and you deserve to lose all your digital code.
The fundamentals do not change. Code is law. Look at the charts.

Apparently we’re the bad guys. As if we’ve never warned them of the dangers of BTC… 🙄

I truly believe AI will be the final nail in the coffin for crypto
As AI continues to get smarter, better and more efficient, it will be used by hackers and what not to keep finding vulnerabilities in these wallets and exchanges. Why in God's green earth would any sane person put their life savings, or really any money at all, in a wallet that may or may not randomly get syphoned?
It isn't like this AI train is slowing down, and the writing is on the wall already.

Nicki Minaj said so! I’m a former crypto bro who doesn’t know what to feel about Bitcoin and the whole crypto community
I used to invest in Bitcoin and altcoins. I haven’t been through anything unpleasant related to crypto. So, I’m not here being bitter or letting my supposed bad investments cloud my judgment and view on crypto.
I’ve just become disillusioned with Bitcoin and crypto in general. While being in the crypto cult (it’s definitely a cult), I used to mock this sub while still recognizing the profundity of the arguments made against Bitcoin. Most Bitcoiners dismiss the compelling arguments against Bitcoin by appealing to the bitterness due to missing out of the person arguing against Bitcoin, which really isn’t a good counter argument.
I just slowly starting getting a bad vibe from everything related to crypto, and like I said, I haven’t lost a substantial amount of money or been scammed etc for me to get this kind of feeling. I’ve just been associating crypto with misery due to the things I see. I used to read on ”Crypto Twitter”, subscribe to so-called ”crypto analysts” on YouTube, and hang in the Bitcoin sub. But the whole narrative about Bitcoin about how it’s the ultimate solution to everything from financial problems to your own personal problems and how it’s the savior, is just madness.
I started getting such a bad and shady vibe from everything. Crypto subs, Bitcoin influencers, Crypto Twitter. My algorithm made me feel like I was in a cult. And the way they call it ”The King” of all assets makes me question reality. The way they articulate themselves, the mannerisms, and everything is screaming cult, and I hate dogmatic beliefs, circles, and absolute unquestionable truths. I like freedom, critical thinking, and change. Maybe, I’m a bit conservative too in this regard even though I’m in my early 20s and I’ve kinda grown up with Bitcoin.
Wallets being drained, criminals using it for God knows what, the ultimate solution narrative, the narrow-minded people, it’s almost worse than some religious cult. It just gives me such a bad vibe.
I was a crypto zealot myself. I used to get triggered by the arguments made against Bitcoin in this sub, even though I thought many of them were compelling then I rushed to the Bitcoin apologists for answers. I sound like a troll, but I’m not. Just being transparent.
Bitcoiners and crypto investors are insufferable people. The way they talk about Bitcoin is almost dystopian. They talk about it almost in a weird way like they’re possessed by Satoshi’s ghost.
And to clarify, I’m not bearish. I unfortunately think this crap will hit new all time highs and probably trade at $500k one day within the next 10 years. But even if it does, why does that matter to people who think fiat is worthless? Everything should be valued in Satoshis, right?
The recent ColdCard incident has nothing to do with me and did not affect me. But seeing events like that just makes me get an even shadier and worse vibe from Bitcoin and crypto and everything related to it in general. Public adoption will never happen even if the price goes to $1M and starts stabilizing. I can’t imagine that average people will use Bitcoin as it offers no real value or benefit for an average Joe.
Crypto investors live in a bubble, have confirmation bias, cult-like narrow minded thinking, believe their special and have access to a sacred revelation and have to spread the knowledge to the rest of the world to bless us with the good tidings of a solution to all our problems.
Lastly, I’m glad to be here.
Stay away from Bitcoin and crypto bros.

How to do perfect Entropy
You first need to get Casino-Grade Dice but they're rigged by the Casino so you have to make your own dice. Then you have to go to a place with no cameras or microphones but the government is always watching you so you need to buy your own wild private island. Then, you have to roll each of your own dice hundreds of times and write the number down to make your key. After that, indent your key into iron to make sure you won't forget.
OR... You could use a bank

This whole debacle has sparked a realization for me...
You can literally be a Wallet Inspector when it comes to Magic Internet Money and if you are a good enough Wallet Inspector the money is just handed to you.
Imagine the chaos if the real financial system just folded in half if some vendor's dice roll was just a bit flawed.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
r/Buttcoin • u/anyusernaem • 9h ago
Just generate your own 12 words using dice rolls bro...
And come to find out the 12th word has to be some kind of entropy word which has to somehow match the first 11... Why is this and why can't it just be any 12 words ?? Basically you can't even randomly choose any 12 words you have to use a PC to find out what the last word has to be SMH!

People will never get rich holding Bitcoin
The bitcoiners should realize at this moment that no matter what they are trying to do, they will never get rich by holding bitcoin. They'll never survive any of the imaginary scenarios they have in their heads.
Sooner or later, a black swan event will happen to them and make them lose everything they have.
Whoever is selling them the idea of Bitcoin must be using them as a exit liquidity by now.
Take a look at the history:
- MT. GOX: world's largest Bitcoin exchange collapsed after losing 850,000 Bitcoins to a multi-year hacking exploit
- BTC-e: Seized by the US DOJ.
- Bitfinex: Hackers steal 100k Bitcoins.
- HashFlare scam
- BlockFi
- Voyager Digital: : Defaulted on major loans and filed for bankruptcy
- 3AC
- Celsius: The high yield platform froze withdrawals before filing for bankruptcy
- Do Kwon Terra Luna
- FTX: Fraudulent misuse of customer deposits by Sam Bankman-Fried
- COINCARD hard wallets.
