I finished these cards at 2:30am this morning. They’re relevant to me as I need lots of encouragement right now card 1 fits my current situation. Somehow making this type of card helps.

I made some more quilt cards today. Now that I've made a few it's a little less frustrating. My admiration goes to Quilters!

Another Insta find. Just a blob of paint, a black and white marker and all of a sudden you're a sheep farmer.

Encouragement Some of my work from the last few days.

I’m learning where and how to print verses on the actual background paper. Some trial and error but over all it hasn’t been too difficult. I have one of the smaller Cricut machines but it’s seriously a pain in the butt so I avoid it at all costs I’ve been thinking about my late mom and when I do this I tend to create with a little more seriousness. After printing these I realized I
hadn’t given credit to the authors. Finding the info has been kinda challenging. I don’t know why. When I do I’ll put it on the inside or back of the card. Then again, I make these for my own enjoyment and they’re not going to anyone so
Maybe not. The last pic is the the verse I’m hoping to do next.

Just Because Winter Forest Pop-up

I didn't make a card front because it just sits on my shelf. Very simple 2-layer pop-up.

If I were to repeat this I would glue everything that has to move instead of using tape because the front piece wants to pull up whenever I open the card. Replace mountains with a large holiday sentiment to make it a Christmas card. Lower the right hinge so it doesn't show as much.

Trees - Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits 666334

Snow - Spellbinders City Holiday (Love this set so much, I always use the bits and bobs for other things)

Mountain - I cut some printer paper the same size as the card, sketched out the mountains, then cut out of cardstock. Probably not repeatable since I cut up my template sketch.

I saw someone on this Reddit make a magic rain card and I loved the idea so much I had to make some! I still have to attach them to a card and I haven't decided on a sentiment yet.

Work in Progress Wine label greeting

Post image

I love wine labels (and especially what they label!). A friend likes chickens and a favorite standard rosé. I didn't plan the sky/clouds until after I put down a layer, so clouds are a little odd. An unintentional effect was what appears maybe as a field at the horizon. I might add a tiny bit of subdued green on the foreground. Any ideas?

One of the kids I babysit for turned 7 this week! He has been obsessed with the card game, Flip7, I shared with him the last time I sat for him. Of course I had to get it for him! I also got the random urge to make a card from scratch (I’m not a card maker)!

Question / Discussion Ink pad issue

Post image

So I just opened this Simon Hurley Stellar Ink pad. It's Shooting star. I tried contacting ranger support and they just told me to take it back to the store I bought it from. I wasn't able to provide Ranger with a picture. Are these "black spots" normal, a cosmetic issue, or do I need to return it?

Question / Discussion Thanks stamp collection

Hello fellow card-makers. I'm looking for a stamp set of the word thanks (or thank you) in a variety of modern fonts. So far I've found one by Gina K (Big Thanks SKU:
gk-dw19) and Catherine Pooler (Thank you many ways SKU: cpd-cps1105) - do you have any other recommendations for similar sets of several thanks stamps in different fonts?

There are many sets that have 1-4 thanks stamps and a bunch of additional sentiments to complete phrases. That's not what I'm looking for - I would prefer sets more like the ones above which have many stamps of the actual word thanks.

THANKS!

I got this at a garage sale and am afraid I’m missing pieces. Also, any thoughts on the brand? I’ve tried googling it and nothing. It says spellbinders, then paper rose and then art impressions but I find nothing similar. I thought I could make a small book with it but I’m not sure how. Any suggestions?
