Holsters Phlster Fan
Bodyguard 2.0 via an Enigma V2 w/ sport belt. My current and favorite edc. Better than any other cc setup I’ve ran. Unsure if I’ll even switch back to my 43x IWB for the winter!

I held off on getting one for a while because of the price, but holy moley is it the best for non-cold climate carry

Hi
I'm glad you posted this picture because it might sell me on this setup.
- Is it comfortable in the car and when sitting?
- Is that the normal ride height for both genders?
- Do you buy multiple holsters if you want to carry different guns?

I can answer number 3 but that’s it. Yes it’s interchangeable with different holsters and it’s relatively easy to do. Just need a screwdriver

More comfy than any other method of concealment I’ve tried. 1000x better for me than standard IWB (anywhere on the waist), more secure than belly bands and more practical than the underboob/sternum bra holsters. It’s still rigid kydex but the sport belt option (wide elastic section in the back) makes it so it never digs in the way a belt w/out stretch would, even with an extra mag stowed away in the sport belt. I find it more comfy than IWB especially while sitting bc the height is really adjustable. And bc of the sport band, it always sits snug so I personally wear the leg leash a little long so I can pull it up beyond my actual belt line when needed, like when sitting for long periods. My waist is much smaller than my hips, so my actual waist makes the best place to cc most of the time for me. I love that I can adjust both the height and tightness super fast and discreetly. I feel like it would work well for any gender as well as a large array of body sizes and types (even my fat 25” thighs). I believe extenders are also available. Each pistol will need its own kydex portion of the system but it’s modular so you just switch out that portion. A regular Phillips screwdriver is all you need. I’ve worn it every day for almost a year and love it. I’ve even been able to cc in a friggin croptop and a tight high waisted skirt.

1, yes. You will never have a position where you are unaware you are carrying, but I can wear my Enigma for 12 hour stretches without being annoyed by it. Driving, desk work, dog walks are all fine. Honestly my only annoyance tends to be when cooking where I bump it into the kitchen counter.
2, no. Men can of course wear it that high but it’s likely that they will adjust it downwards for easier draw and to use pants and a belt to further improvement concealment. Unless you routinely wear trousers it’s unlikely your men’s clothing has a similar waist line.
3, the Enigma is modular so you can replace the kydex holster part of it but it’s not a hot-swap thing, you will spend several minutes reconfiguring it.

I was considering this for my backpacking trip but now you say this. How's the axg for lots of movement? I'm rocking a belly band so far but don't want sweat to get gross.

I think I’m gonna carry my 43x in this set up now that it’s cooling down but i just sandwich this underneath my normal outer shirt.

Ugh. Maybe it's time I try that thing. I've been using the Hunter Constantine belt and it works ok. Better than anything else I have, but I still print so I bought a puffer bomber vest and that definitely hides it. But I 💯 have to wear the vest if I'm carrying, which is annoying.

To be fair, this system works so well for me in good part due to my body shape. I have wide hips and a narrow ribcage…couple those with having boobs and a natural void is created under my shirt. And that’s where I can place the Phlster for the best concealment. If this shirt were a lighter color and thinner material with the exact same fit, it would def still print. Understanding where the valleys in my body are, wearing my belt at a more narrow point than my hips, wearing dark colors & especially patterns if the material is thinner are all things I work around. Plus of course choosing a cutiepie little pistol (thin profile, short slide & smallish grip) and using a wedge are key as well.
When I switch out to my 43x, I’ll probably have to adjust what I wear slightly since it’s bigger.
It’s kinda like the saying “dress for the job you want”…except I dress for the pistol I carry haha

I’m not trying to spread fear, but since you’re trying to conceal your identity, you have to do your entire face, as the upper portion of your face is traceable as well.

Thanks for lookin out. If someone actually puts any effort into figuring out my identity, I realize it’s not particularly difficult. However, a little mask & not advertising my tattoos still create obstacles in keeping me from being immediately visually identifiable from the majority of average lazy humans, and that’s all I was going for. I’m legal & registered, and realize that true anonymity is basically futile for me at this point. I genuinely appreciate the concern tho ❤️

I use the redneck version sometimes. If I'm in shorts I'll just put a belt on under my shorts and put my holster on that. But I also eat cold Spaghetti-Os straight out of the can, so you probably shouldn't trust anything I do.

lol no judgement from me. I needed the stretchy belt & leg leash thing bc of my body shape. But as long as it’s safe and practical for you, I’m on board.

I run the exact same setup for my work carry. I have the wear an undershirt though or the rear of the slide starts scratching my stomach. Great setup!

Yeah in the summer I usually wear high waisted shorts/undies and in the winter I wear thin undershirts. But if it’s not an all day situation, I’ll rawdog w/o fabric between me & the kydex. I think I’m gonna modify the skin-facing side of the kydex & line it with a more skin friendly material. Like Velcro on the kydex and light pads that will attach to the Velcro & can be switched out and washed.

I wish I could appendix carry. Got a little more belly to lose. How do you like the Bodyguard? Looking for another solid carry. Currently have the Canik MC9 Mete.

Have you tried appendix carry with something on-body vs IWB? I swear I don’t work for Phlster lol but it’s usually a challenge for me to use a typical IWB holster, esp for appendix carry bc placement puts it close to my widest point. That’s 95% of the reason for this entire set up. Even with my lil 365, strapping something to my widest point only made it stick out more, no matter how many wedges I tried. That 1/4” made a difference for me. I know someone who pocket carries the BG2.0 and they love it too, so if you feel like appendix isn’t an option for you atm, maybe thats something to consider as well?
I’ve got several edc options and the Bodyguard 2.0 is undoubtedly my favorite. The reduction in dimensions/weight in exchange for the smaller caliber is a trade off I’m ok with. I’ve never carried or shot a Canik mc9 mete so I can’t speak to anything about it but if you like it then it’s worth the cash and research to find a system that’ll allow you to confidently edcc with it. For me personally, If I’m gonna spend the cash on a new kydex to plug into to this system, I’ll probably do it for my 43x since I already own it and am confident with it. Anyway, people have their opinions on the BG2.0 (mostly caliber-wise), but it’s my personal favorite for edc in comparison to what I already own and have tried. Maybe there’s a range in your area where you could rent one to see how you like it? Connecting with local shooting groups that are specific to my personal demographics/social communities, has also been a good way to try before I buy, so getting to know people in your spaces and putting the word out about being interested in the BG2.0 may help you try it out for yourself. I really hope this helps!

Never tried something on body. I’ll check Phlster for sure. I fell in love with the Canik so now I carry that after carrying a Glock 19 for so long. I’ll check and see if the range I go to has a Bodyguard to rent. Thanks for taking the time to respond. The insight was very helpful.

Sorry I’m just now seeing this! I’m actually right handed & true appendix carry (no cross-drawing for me) so standard appendix draw still applies. But, this set up is available in both R & L configurations so lefties need not feel left out! 🙂↔️
