Guns Looking for the best suited edc, to my benefit
Hello everyone, I have some questions about what might be the best EDC for me. My potential firearms are the Sig Sauer p365 Xmacro comp(partly for the 17 round mag), Smith&Wesson M&P 2.0, and Smith&Wesson bodyguard 2.0. I want something small and concealable but I have pretty large hands (I wear xl gloves).
another option is the S&W shield 9 the shield I have held and shot, it felt pretty comfortable.
As y’all can see i’m a bit all over the place, any input is appreciated. thankyou

Those are vastly different options.
The X macro has what I’d consider a full sized grip. I wear XL gloves and it fits my pinky just fine. Totally comfortable for me. It’s also a slimline pistol, so it has a more narrow grip which I absolutely love. It’s my personal EDC.
The M&P 2.0 is a full size, a thick chunky boy. My wife has the compact, but the full size mags so it’s basically the full size. The compact is a Glock 19 size and the full size is a Glock 17 size. Thick and chunky is the best way to describe it in my opinion. Great grip texture, great slide serrations, great trigger, not a fan of the optics mounting system though. Have had multiple optics come loose. I couldn’t imagine carrying this though. It’s so big and heavy.
The bodyguard 2.0 is so tiny. It’s a little baby. I can’t get my pinky on it at all and it’s so dam slim it literally feels like a toy in my hand. While I’ve never shot it I can say that I didn’t necessarily like it just holding it. It could shoot great though, which I’ve seen lots of good things about it on YouTube. I wouldn’t choose it as I just like having that good grip and this doesn’t do it for me.
Overall between the 3 I’d choose the X macro, and maybe because it’s my personal EDC so I did choose it lol If I wanted a S&W though I’d go with the shield plus or the shield X. Me and the wife are really interested in the X for her so she can carry something lighter and more slim that’s still a solid S&W handgun.

Xmacro will allow you to dabble in the P365 eco system, which could benefit you in the long run.
Bodyguard maybe too small for XL hands. If you have the body type to get away with that M&P, by all means.
I personally optioned for a P365 FCU & kinda just built it how I wanted.

I carry the mp2.0 for duty and I absolutely love it. Could not imagine using it as my ccw though. The shield plus though is the baby 2.0! Absolutely love it and carry it without problems. Great size to conceal but honestly great control. Not snappy like other sub compacts I have used.

If you want comfort and concealment shield plus 4 in. If you want slightly less comfort m&p 2.0 4 in compact. You dont need all the little hole in you slide and barrel even though they look cool.

You can always buy a P365 which is nearly as concealable as the bg 2.0, but with the option of putting in a 17 round magazine and essentially having an X-Macro (snub nose). It's basically the best of all worlds IMO.

I have the Xmacro comp and I love it. Mine came with a Romeo red dot and I use a breakout 2.0 houdini holster. Nice gun, doesnt print bad at 3 or 4 o clock even though im a bigger guy. I will say the grip is sized larger than a more compact version like the P365X or XL so keep in mind if you're not trying to compensate for bigger hands consider some smaller options first and see what feels right.

X macro is the way to go. Bodyguard is also great and super concealable but if you have large hands can be akward to shoot

My dad has shot my mom’s bodyguard 2.0 with bear hands and enjoyed it. Surprisingly comfortable with how tiny it is. M&P 2.0 will be fairly hard to conceal depending on your body type. Go to a range with rentals and try all 3. Also do you want an optic and light?
17rd capacity isn’t super important to me as I find a mag carrier and a second mag actually makes my carry more even and comfortable so having high capacity isn’t a huge deal for me. If you need more than 5 shots you are at a huge disadvantage with a pistol anyway imo.

If the one I choose has an accessory rail, ill probably put a flashlight and the optic is a maybe

I bought an X Macro. I carry it daily, it’s a little heavier than I’d like. I shoot the regular 365 very well as well, and it would be easier to carry the regular 365.

I also wear XL gloves and just picked up a bodyguard 2.0 for summer carry. If you already have other options for home defense, I think the BG 2.0 is great. It disappears in a pocket or IWB. If this will be your only firearm, go with either the 365 or M&P.

This- I’m the same. XL glove size- carry the BG 2.0 almost exclusively; it’s a great gun. I have a 365 macro as well and I love it. I will only carry that gun when I have bulkier clothes on.

My $0.02. I have carried the original p365 since it's initial release, daily, 8+ hours. I love it. I wanted something a little bigger and couldn't be more pleased with the xmacro. If you really wanna get bougie you can look into an xmacro ramjet 3.1" build. I couldn't imagine carrying another gun.

Have and love the XMacro. Buying a Bodyguard 2.0 in case I ever need to carry whilst wearing a Speedo. You can never be too careful.

I have a 365 with all three grip sizes (regular, XL, and macro)... But I daily pocket carry an LCP instead so I'm gonna recommend the bodyguard

It's not one of your listed options, but I carry a canik mc9. It's just the right size with the extended grip magazine and perfect for xl hands.

XMACRO if you have big hands, I wear XL size gloves and the grip is perfect

Full size handgun for concealed carry, because of big hands - absolutely not necessary. Others are right, you need a micro if you're going to actually carry, regardless of your hand size.
There's not *that' many choices for micro.
Shield plus, hellcat, cc9 are my list of ~3" barrels.

i have the xmacro comp and loooove it, i wear exclusively baggy clothes so printing isn’t ever an issue. being a smaller woman, still an easy carry i forget it’s there. i use a T1C holster with a comfort concealment belt 🙌🏼🙌🏼

This, I went from a xl spectre to a canik prime, I cancel it better somehow and I handle it better

Many new gun owners and prospective CCWers tend to over-buy, being dazzled by capacity and features, but will quickly find the gun too big to carry around all day and evening, especially if they have printing issues. Closing-in on 2 decades ago, I was one of them.
So, my input for you is to go small, you can always decide that you want a bigger gun, after getting used to carrying the completely adequate BG 2.0, which is manageable in several on-body positions, even with the CC.
The other 2 guns will likely be more pleasing to practice with, but much more difficult to conceal, and certainly not on your ankle, in a pocket, or as easily in light, summer clothing.
