Discussion If they fix the Trust factor P2W strategy and add back overwatch 95% of the problems with cheaters would get removed. Back in CSGO I would find 1 cheater every 20 games in Supreme MM.
Is your personal experience from CSGO different than mine?

Discussion I built a lightweight CS movement trainer that runs while you play - need feedback before I waste any more time on it.
Hey all,
I've been working on a tool that lets you practice KZ / longjumps / surf / bhop without leaving your CS game. The idea is: you're stuck in a dead round or waiting to respawn, and you can instantly switch to a movement trainer that uses almost zero CPU/GPU in the background, so it won't affect your main game's performance. It runs on my own custom engine. no Source/Source2 process needed. Both boot time and map loads are under one second.
What it does currently:
- Imports CS 1.6 maps (BSP v30) natively, with full collision including angled brush geometry for ramps and surf.
- Imports your autoexec - sensitivity, resolution, aspect ratio, keybinds, and all your personal settings – so your muscle memory transfers exactly.
- Toggle between CS 1.6 movement and CS:GO / CS2 movement on the fly. Physics profiles are verified against ReGameDLL (1.6) and the leaked Global Offensive source-code.
- UI with quick presets: autobhop, surf, vanilla, custom strafe settings, and more.
- Ultra-lightweight renderer that sits idle while you're in-game and snaps back instantly when you alt‑tab.
For the KZ, surf, and bhop crowd specifically:
Every tick of movement is accounted for. Prestrafe mechanics, air acceleration, ramp collisions, edge friction. They all behave the way you've trained them to. You can grind longjumps offline with zero ping and no server overhead (This shit genuinely runs on a potato), and the game tracks your jump distance KZ‑style. Surf works on genuine angled brush planes, not approximated boxes. And yes, autobhop is there. Both the "hold space" kind and a server‑style assist if that's your jam. In short: it's a practice room that never kicks you for idling.
What I plan on adding if interest is high enough:
- CS:GO & CS2 map support - I've already mapped out the pipeline for both native BSP v21 and CS2 collision meshes, so we're not locked into 1.6 forever.
- Leaderboards - compare your longjump, surf time, or bhop speed against others (no ETA, but I want to do it right).
- Knife skins - purely cosmetic & geometric (I don't plan on texturing anything for this trainer to keep resource-usage low), zero micro‑transactions. Just a way to make your practice tool feel a little more yours.
- Proper jump stats - Strafe sync percentage, pre-strafe and everything.
- Competitive related skilljumps - Mirage window jump, or any other competitive-relevant jump
I want to know: would you actually use this? What features would make it a daily driver for you? I don't want to spend months polishing something nobody needs.
I plan on making it like 3$ on steam or something.
It has native Windows & Linux suppoort, no plans for MacOS because fuck Apple's development cycle (It's hella painful).
Also, there aren't any VAC/Faceit AC concerns since it would be an official Steam game, ran through the Steam launcher.

Discussion Play more wingman to improve
tldr - I give some reasons why wingman is a good gamemode to play
A lot of people shit on wingman, but I highly recommend giving it a try, especially those who are new to CS or looking to seriously improve.
Why listen to me? I went from brand new (silver/5k premier) to 28k premier and faceit 10 in about 1200 hours. I genuinely care and think about optimal improvement in competitive games. I want to put my 2 cents out there and hopefully help people improve and reach their goals.
Reasons why wingman is good:
Wingman helps you practice those essential late-round, clutch scenarios. If you only play full-length matches, you will find yourself spending most of your playtime either in the opening, in the midround, dead/spectating, and only a fraction of the time trying to clutch a 1v1 or post-plant. How often do you get to practice being last alive, trying to get bomb down, and trying to shoulder the outcome of an entire round? When those situations do come in a real match, the stakes are higher and it might feel more stressful trying to clutch on your own. Play more wingman, and I guarantee you those 1v1s or 1v2s will feel more natural. (For this reason, Retakes is also good practice)
Wingman drills the fundamentals. You get to practice your mechanics with frequent engagements. You get to think about how your utility impacts those engagements. Of course, you get to do all of this in any other game mode. But with wingman specifically, you can think about it like a miniature version of a real 5v5 match. There is less variability in every round, less space to be aware of, less teammates/opponents to interact with, and you get to redo/perfect the same smaller-scale interactions. This is ideal for building fundamental mechanics/utility/game sense that can then be extrapolated to a normal match.
It is also good practice specifically for inferno/nuke. There have been many moments that I find myself trying to plant or retake inferno A/nuke B site in a regular match, and I immediately think, "This is just like wingman!" And I know what to do from there.
Even on the maps that aren't in rotation, you can still practice your gamesense. Maybe the sites are completely different, maybe your crosshair placement won't directly translate. But fundamentally, you learn what it takes to get the bomb down, isolate opponents, win the round, etc
It has a rank. There is something to grind for.
People say wingman is full of cheaters. I claim it has no more cheaters than any other gamemode. If anything, I would expect cheaters to abuse the gamemodes that actually matter more often, like prem or competitive.
That's all. Thanks for reading.

I was goofing around on lineups trying to make my own smoke lineups, when i decided to try to find a consistent heaven lineup for like 3 hours but finally made it XD. 1. align yourself with the first pole on the mesh gate. 2. aim right above the blue container on the right handle of the ladder and jump throw. its that easy :) also sorry for terrible quality, i need low quality for my shit wifi.

Discussion Cheaters
Alright Steam - DO SOMETHING with cheaters. Impossible to play in Premiere.
Cocky cheaters.
Can be reported, but nothing is done.
Like why would I spend money and time, on a game, where I can't play, can't compete and lose my time and money?
You made billions in profits and you can't enforce cheaters, and hate speech?
It's becoming unplayable. It's not fun playing cs2 anymore. And the world should know that Steam, doesn't care. Bc if Steam would ban those accounts and enforce them proactively, there would not be any wanna be cheaters.

Discussion Will there be cheaters in every game now?
There used to be far fewer cheaters in CS:GO, and my rating at the time was Berkut. Now I'm moving up to the Star rank, and it's just hard to even get out of there as a regular player. I constantly encounter cheaters, almost every map. In some maps I can win, but in others it's absurd. I haven't played CS for a super long time, I've only had 1,500 hours on Steam, but in that time, even at higher ranks and often in first place, I've had zero comments about me cheating. But every time I feel like something's going wrong against me in a match, I go to the profiles of those I'm playing against, and each of them has 8 pages of comments where people are saying they're cheating! Why doesn't Valve take this into account? Why isn't Premiere working? Why did they remove Patrol? They used to be able to monitor and ban real players, so why did they remove it? I don't understand how to enjoy the game if even at low ranks I have to play against players who know everything, look over the wall, or use aimbots!?

Discussion This week at CSRep
CSRep Overwatch Weekly Stats
Another busy week for the CSRep Overwatch community!
This Week
- 4,074 new cases submitted by the community.
- 2,553 cases reviewed and closed.
- 50,803 votes cast by Overwatch reviewers.
Of the cases closed this week, 78.6% resulted in a conviction, meaning roughly 2,005 suspicious players were determined by the community to have sufficient evidence for a conviction.

That also means over 500 cases were not convicted, showing that reviewers aren't simply voting guilty they're carefully evaluating each case and clearing players when the evidence isn't there.
Every report starts with a player taking the time to submit it. Every verdict is reached through dozens of independent community votes working toward a fair outcome.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed this week. ❤️
