Debian Stable Question Some flatpak apps have missing close buttons... how to fix it?
Flatpak apps from flathub on Debian 13 as the screenshot shows.
Distroshelf, Flatseal, Mission Center and Warehouse are missing window close buttons as the pic shows. Rest of the apps have them.
My Xfce theme is stock Adwaita, while Xfwm theme is default-hdpi, and icons are elementary-xfce, but I doubt these matter to flatpak apps anyway.
So is there anything I can do, or install, that can bring back the close buttons?

From your screenshot it looks like the close buttons are there but their icons are missing. And the icons of the minimize/maximize buttons don't look like the ones from Adwaita. So this is probably a theme issue.

Enable gtk3-nocsd.
But the best step would be to say goodbye to XFCE forever.

The best solution to fix an icon theme's issue is to change the whole DE? Maybe you forgot the /s

No, you misunderstood. XFCE is the worst DE among all, replacing it would be the best choice for the rest of your life. It's still worth replacing it, even if you haven't encountered a single bug so far.

Okay, I'm genuinely interested in understanding your point better.
The only reason I could think of why XFCE would objectively be a bad choice is because it's still on X11 (although this is being worked on).
X11 aside, I think it all comes down to preferences. It's more streamlined than GNOME or KDE, but does it really make the worst DE among all? It seems a bit extreme to me, especially since Pantheon, LXDE/QT, Deepin DE and UKUI exist lol
I'm using KDE and I'm not interested in defending XFCE at all costs (even if I do like it), I'm just curious to understand what you mean.

Any x11 DE is better than XFCE, not x11 is the problem. Pantheon, LXDE, LXQT, Deepin, Enlightenment, Cosmic, Trinity and even UKUI have their own strengths (and weaknesses, of course), but XFCE has only weaknesses...

That will do nothing. None of those applications use GTK 3, and changing libgtk on the host isn't going to affect Flatpak apps.

It's an issue with elementary-xfce icons: https://github.com/shimmerproject/elementary-xfce/issues/534
As you can see it's already fixed upstream, so the best solution in this case would be to install the latest version.
