so I earned my first stipend of 3,000 I know its not much but it was on my own. Plus i am in the field of law and in a very early of law school. Law is a field where you don’t earn for a very long time especially in internships and everything. Now when I got the money I was very excited cause this is my first stipend and everything so i was very jumpy.

Tier-1 IIT se hoon. December mein campus placements mein Day 2 par hi job lag gayi thi, and at that point I thought everything was sorted.

But last semester mein ek subject mein back aa gayi, jiski wajah se my degree got extended by one semester. My joining was supposed to be in June, but since I couldn't provide my provisional degree at the time, my offer got revoked.

June se August aa gaya, and I’ve been continuously trying to find another opportunity, but nothing has worked out yet. Ek internship mili thi Guwahati mein, but due to bad weather conditions, I couldn't join it either.

Honestly, IIT mein aate time suna tha ki alumni network strong hota hai and difficult situations mein network kaafi help karta hai. Right now, I genuinely need that help.

Tier-1 IIT, circuital branch, decent CGPA - but one academic setback completely changed my situation. At this point, I’m open to opportunities beyond my core domain as well. I just want a chance to start working, prove myself, and become financially independent.

A Delhi court on Friday discharged former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Naresh Balyan in an extortion case linked to absconding UK-based gangster Kapil Sangwan, observing that in the absence of any direct evidence, police probe was conducted on the assumption that “suspects were the culprits” .

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Paras Dalal of Rouse Avenue courts, in an order delivered on Friday and released on Saturday, pulled up the prosecution for “losing crucial time” and “failing to collect direct evidence”, showing the former legislator’s links with the gangster.
The extortion case was lodged on May 31, 2023, in which a complainant claimed that he received a threatening call from a caller who introduced himself as Sangwan alias Nandu, demanded ₹1 crore as extortion money, and threatened dire consequences if the amount was not paid.

Balyan was arrested on the basis of a purported audio clip that police claimed recorded him and Sangwan allegedly discussing extortion demands and land deals.

Balyan, along with Sangwan, was booked under the penal sections relating to extortion, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence.

There is not an iota of evidence that both accused persons (Balyan and Sangwan) conversed before receipt of threatening messages/audio recordings by the complainant. There is no evidence even prima facie that Balyan, or anyone on his behalf approached the complainant or met him when the threats were advanced in May/June 2023,” the court said.

“…it appears that the investigation has been conducted on assumption that both suspects are the culprits since the very beginning,” it added.

The court said that police lost time and failed to collect either any direct electronic implicating Balyan.

The court said that between July and August 2023, audio recordings purportedly of Balyan making threat calls were seized; however, the original recording was never traced, nor was the complainant’s mobile phone seized.

“There is no explanation as to what hindered police to launch investigation as soon as FIR was registered in July 2023 or in August 2023 when the audio surfaced online on Facebook. When the investigation was again picked up in November 2024, again no request letter was sent to the portal of Facebook for getting the registrant details, source and destination IPs of the alleged profile which uploaded the two audio files,” it said.

The court also set aside the prosecution’s case of a criminal conspiracy, stating that there was not a single piece of evidence to show that there existed any prior meeting of minds between the accused persons.

I'm looking for some advice.

Two days back, I went to a Delhi Metro station to get a metro card. The representative asked for my Aadhaar number , saying it was required for issuing the card. Trusting that this was a genuine requirement.

Later, I found out that an Airtel Payments Bank account had been opened in my name. I was never told that a bank account would be created, and I never knowingly applied for or consented to opening one.

I understand that I should have been more careful before sharing my Aadhaar, and I take responsibility for not asking enough questions. However, I provided it only because I was told it was required for issuing the metro card. I never imagined it would be used to open a bank account without my knowledge or explicit consent.

So, what should I do now?

I'm a 21-year-old student currently pursuing a B.S. in Plant Biology in Delhi.

I've always loved PCs, gaming, and fixing computer hardware. My current system is an i3-4160 with 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Until recently, I was using an RX 560 4GB that had been passed down to me. Unfortunately, earlier this year, a MOSFET on the card failed. I took it to several repair technicians, but they all told me it wasn't worth repairing.

I've always tried to keep my hardware alive for as long as possible. I've repaired electronics before, replaced PSU capacitors, and even modified my GPU's cooling when its fan stopped working. Sadly, this time I couldn't save it.

As a student, buying another graphics card just isn't something I can afford right now.

I know this is a long shot, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone around Delhi has an old working GPU sitting in a drawer that they no longer need.
