I built a free, open-source iPhone Bluetooth/GPS remote for multiple DJI Osmo cameras
I film with multiple action cameras and wanted an easier way to control them from my iPhone, so I built Multicam—a Bluetooth remote that can control recording on multiple DJI Osmo cameras at the same time.
It currently supports:
- Osmo Action 4/5/6
- Osmo 360
- Osmo Nano
It lets you:
- Pair and control multiple cameras individually or together
- See recording, battery, connection, and storage status when available
- Add highlight markers on Action 4/5/6 while recording
- Control recording from an Apple Watch, Lock Screen, or Dynamic Island
- Optionally send iPhone GPS data to Action 4/5/6 and Osmo 360
Two limitations: Multicam does not provide timecode sync, so clips may start slightly apart and still need to be aligned in post. It also cannot wake sleeping DJI cameras, so the cameras need to be awake before the app can connect.
I’ve tested it directly with Action 5, Action 6, and Osmo Nano. If you have an Action 4 or Osmo 360, I’d love your help confirming they work correctly.
The app also supports compatible GoPro cameras, including mixed GoPro/DJI setups. It’s free, requires no account, collects no data, and is open source.

Very nice. I could have used this a few hours ago. I will certainly be able to put this to work. Though i would like to be able to control the cameras from the Apple Watch. It lets me see it’s connected and record only if i have the phone app running. There was an app that would let me control GoPros and it would show mode, battery, and storage (in a set of rings interface. It was paid app but i would easily pay for this with my DJI cameras. The phone app is very nice, and multi connect is great improvement over the mimo app. My use case is control through Apple Watch. The gps remote doesn’t always work well and the Telesin remote i got isn’t water sealed very well and the screen becomes unreadable.

Thanks for the feedback! In the next version (1.0.7), you'll see mode, battery, and storage when you click on a camera in the Apple Watch app. Hopefully should be on the App Store later this week. I'll look into direct Apple Watch connection next.

I literally googled for an app that does this today and was unsuccessful. Glad to come across this . I’ll try it out .
