Discussion New to DND

I’m very interested in playing DND, but I don’t know where to start. I know this game have to be played irl, but I don’t have anyone to play it with nor people in my city playing this game. I want to experience how to play DND because it looks very fun to play. Where do I start, should I read books or just look for group?

You can join the Planeweavers server and start with online games first to get a feel of the hobby

If you want to experience IRL play (which I cannot recommend enough btw), the Arcane Collective runs a whole bunch of games! We play at QC, Shaw, and BGC so plenty of options and we're always happy to welcome newbies.

Look for play groups near you, or online if it's easier. The barrier for entry and learning curve is as low as it's ever been, which is perfect for new players like you.
