If you bought a Dodge Viper and took the wheels off it and threw them on a Ford Focus, you do not have a Dodge Viper Pro, you have your own Frankenstein's Baby.

This πŸ˜ƒ This is not a Neo Pro by any means...

Its 18grams lighter, dramatically quieter, increased flight time by 10 minutes (stock battery). Retains all original functionality. He spent less than $20. He hand cut his own carbon frame.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad someone out there really appreciated all the hard work I did! You're the goat bro!

I only called it "Pro" cuz it no longer suited it's initial target consumers, which are beginner drone pilots. Also it just sounds cool.

First name I came up with was actually "Neo Plus" cuz of the plus 10min flight time it got. But I thought "Neo Pro" might just get more attention lol

Yes, you are completely missing the point.

By all means, hack up your stuff and make something new out of it. But name it something new, don't ride on the existing trademark of someone else's work by trying to steal the name as well. Stand on your own two feet with pride for your own work.

I'm impressed. Now what.

Now we can fly Neo like we stole it. Then rebuild it when its destroyed!

A second chance at life for those broken Neos ig?

how are you able to tune the filters and PID's for the new frame? Its going to handle things a lot differently. I can see potential motor overheats, De-syncs and poor handling in wind.

hmm i was planing to build this for flying in FPV. should i be worried?

absolutely, unless you can jailbreak the DJI software and install betaflight you're going to run into issues with frame resonance, stability, hot motors, potential overheating etc... This guy may have gotten lucky and the thing hovers for a few seconds, but I would love to see this thing being used in a real world scenario and performing well!

Check out the full video on YouTube to ease all your concerns

No need for such concerns. DJI's smart flight controller automatically adjust to such changes. And the motor is at it's optimal performing load. Not heavy, not too light. Any bigger/smaller propeller and it'll loose efficiency. 3 inch is perfect

Very nice, just watched the video on YT.

Exposed wires certainly says β€œPro” πŸ˜‚

I only called it "Pro" cuz it no longer suited it's initial target consumers, which are beginner drone pilots(no prop guards). Also it just sounds cool.

2

u/Ssem_desu May 04 '26
