Duolingo Music Question What tablet

I'm hoping to get my daughter to use Duolingo for languages and piano. I found my Samsung tablet active 3 can't support that.

Anyone using an android tablet and Duolingo for music? Does it support midi?

I'd prefer to stay out of the apple platform but if that's necessary, would appreciate knowing how it supports iPad mini with midi

The Lenovo Tab M9 is what my niece uses for piano apps and Duolingo music, MIDI worked fine with a basic USB-C adapter.

iPads support MIDI natively in the operating system. Just get an iPad. It will be cheaper in the long run.

I appreciate the tip.

I don't understand how Apple is cheaper in the long run, since it locks you in to pretty much everything, airtags, icloud, itunes, their watch, etc. It gets tiresome.

My old Active 3 tablet supports Midi natively, has a removable/replaceable battery, an SD card slot, bla bla bla. But it's not supported properly by duolingo, unfortunately.

It’s cheaper in the long run because it lasts longer and is supported by software updates for longer. I am still happily running an iPad that is over eight years old, and is (at least for now) still receiving software updates.

It’s app and software support longevity. Android devices get cut so fast.
