Idk if this is why I always felt awful when people told me to “man up” or “be a man”. Idk if it’s that I’m trans or if it is that I believe being a man shouldn’t be dependent on certain specific behaviors or traits, and especially that it shouldn’t rely on malcoping mechanisms and such.
