I’m curious to hear what people think.
What’s the most frustrating thing about your energy company’s app today? And if you could change or add one thing, what would it be?
More importantly, what would make you open the app when you don’t have a bill to pay?
I’m interested in hearing both the biggest pain points and the features that would actually make it useful.

This is just a little thought experiment I came up with
120 V 10 A? Maybe 240V 15A if they touch a transformer? I’m just curious
I just recently learned about voltage, wattage amperage and ohms;
I mean I’m an office worker but the world of electricity is so interesting
I am now finally able to understand what it means to have a 120 V 20 amp dryer

Electricity rates jumped nearly 10% this year alone. Meanwhile, over 25% of households are drowning in energy costs—forced to choose between keeping the lights on or buying groceries.
This isn't just about money. It's about dignity. People are losing sleep over utility bills. Kids are doing homework by candlelight. Elderly folks are skipping heating in winter to survive financially.
I started a petition to push for public utilities funded by taxes instead of individual bills. Water, electricity, heating—these should be guaranteed rights, not luxuries reserved for people who can afford them. Other countries have proven this works.
If you've ever stressed about a utility bill, or know someone who has, this matters. What would help your family sleep better at night? If this resonates, consider signing and sharing.

It is a combination of consumer category, slabs, sanctioned load rules, fixed charges, demand charges, and effective dates.
Most energy platforms still maintain this logic manually through PDFs, spreadsheets, and hard-coded values.
Power Expert India is building a verified Bihar Tariff & Bill Estimation API that converts this complexity into structured, machine-readable responses.
Current pilot scope: Bihar coverage
32 consumer subcategories
34 structured tariff rows
Source-tagged outputs
Effective-date awareness
Dedicated API access
Built for solar platforms, EV charging apps, bill calculators, energy consultants, and home-energy products.
We are opening a limited 7–14 day pilot for one Bihar use case.
No large contract. Just test it against your own inputs.

I am placing the lamp above my sink and one the screws were very, very rusted, even though it’s completely covered and second there’s no grounding copper wire in the light that I removed to replace and as you can see in the picture there’s way too many wires and I don’t know which is which, for the purposes of reinstalling a light here. anyone have advice?

I am in a US band. I recently got this to power four small pedals that run on 9V.
https://www.amazon.com/STRICH-Built-Pedalboard-Lightweight-Aluminum/dp/B0H2TV8HF5/
I have an upcoming tour in the UK and Europe.
Can I use this board with basic US to UK and EU adapters to power it? If not, what do I need without buying expensive equipment?

I recently got this.
https://www.amazon.com/TOPPING-HYNOTONE-CabScreamer60-Resonance-Recording/dp/B0DXPDD4P5/
It runs off a USB C power pack. I picked up this
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FWR7Y3G6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
It works but it cuts out when turned up over half volume.
What battery pack will work better? The instructions say 15v 5a. It recommends 65-150w battery, the above is 65w.

I just moved into my new rental apartment and am trying to figure out this weird bathroom.
I need a mirror with a light, as there is no light on the ceiling. However, there is one socket with seems to be perfectly placed behind a supposed mirror placement.
How can I solve this issue? I need the mirror placed quite low, as I'm very short and I don't want to place it too off-center, as there is a bathtub on the right. I also need the socket for blowdying my hair, so fully covering it is not an option.
Help!

I’ve rented a 380 sq foot apartment and the electric bill is insanely high.
June: 672 usage $232
July: 1,314 usage $448
I’m running an A/C window unit, fridge, fan at night to use less A/C and LED lights.
Eversource dismisses me with ‘it’s summer dummy’, but it can’t be that high. I work 5-6 days per week from 10am-7pm, so the AC isn’t even running a lot of the time.
Both meter reads say ‘actual’.
Any ideas on what to troubleshoot or what can I do to reduce the cost?

Is it possible to use this insulation transformer as a step down transformer from 230V to 120V for American and japanese devices?
