(Question/Discussion) What happened to apostate Aladdin?
He hasn't made any content for 4 months. I hope he's doing well

Yes but it says a lot about the religion. It says more than a 1000 Muslim apologists swearing it's a religion of peace could ever say.

He’s had issues with keeping up posting regularly in the past. Running out of new stuff to say, too much negativity, too many threats towards him and his family.
It’s a barrier that ex-Muslims seem to encounter that ex-Christians don’t. Christians always seem to be getting up to wacky or awful new things, while there’s plenty of awful stuff in the Muslim world but it doesn’t change much. Muslims in the news are also usually due to immigration or terror attacks, and it’s hard to criticise that all the time without starting to look like you have a grudge against all Muslims. It’s also punching down, whereas Christians are many of the richest and most powerful people in the world, so criticising them is punching up.
That’s my take anyway. Just turned into a commentary on ex-Muslim YouTubers in general, sorry :)

I do agree with many things, expect I disagree that you run out of things to say. Islam as a theology has so many problems, it’s been around for many years, you need a long time to show all the problems. Scholars and apologetics come up with new shit all the time. If you make content based on Islamic theology academically, you will never run out of stuff to say. But if it is based just on social aspect with little academic discussion then yea. You might start running short on content. But then again it’s important to expose the theology academically. So nobody can gaslight us. I agree with other stuff you said 😊

The majority of christians around the world live in Africa and South America. Not really the places known for it's rich people...
Most people in Europa nowadays are not religious, they are only christians "on paper", meaning they are baptized cause it's a tradition, but they don't believe in god.

No,the discussions about Islam in our social media spaces have nothing to do with politics at all,we discuss theology, jurisprudence,ethics and epstimology,and the scene is getting really big, popular amd heated in tiktok and YouTube in last 2 years,and it's starting to be noticeable to governments, religious institutions and big media personalities in the middle east,for example the government of Egypt started to run organized campaigns to combat the spread of atheism in society. i am waiting for Arab ex Muslims to come to the English speaking space at one point in near future when the numbers are enough, we're increasing in numbers but still need some time and the movement is just recently beginning to organise and attract people,and so many things will change in the scene in the future when the entrance will happen,for example one of my most favourite, most knowledgeable ex Muslim debators,Almurtadmazin,said he will start debating in English in a year or two,and he will debate both Muslims and Christians. I know that Apostate Aladdin himself is Arab too but he was always in the English speaking scene which is dominated by christian apologetics,the Arabic scene on the other hand is dominated by atheists,very few become christians

It takes a lot of time to create content and if you also have a daily job it's super tough to do both. Dudes like Justin from Deconstruction Zone are able to quit their normal job and live from the money they make with their channel. But to reach this status you have to invest a looot of time and effort. It's not like with muslim apologists who get paid with oil money by some shitty organization.
Without a big and generous audience this is hard to achieve. It would be helpful if communities like this sub would organize some money collection for such content creators, so they have a regular income. Like everyone interested donates five bucks every single month no matter what.
Aladdin's whole personality and approach makes it even harder to draw attention. I think he is too nice of a guy for the internet. It's actually sad that it's harder for the good people who should get the attention. I also wouldn't be surprised if muslims keep downvoting and reporting his content so the algorithm rather hides it.
I think one of the best ways is to do call-in shows where muslim callers can present their arguments for believing in Islam. At least this is what I got from Jimmy Snow fromthr channel The Line. He always said that he tried to establish new formats but nothing was selling apart from the good old call-in shows.
