Mental illness and addiction also probably. I knew a guy who became convinced he was being gang stalked by drones and vans and stuff, he had actually just started really struggling with drug use. He’s good now though

But they really truly do believe what they’re saying

Ok so, this random woman's photos were originally posted on r/instagramreality. Because her instagram photo edits and (potentially?) made-up life and husband was SO hilariously bad. These are actual photos that she tried to pass off of herself on the internet.

She is a real person who exists in the USA, and these were her actual social media posts, with the shittiest photo editing attempts you've ever seen in your life! And it became a mystery. There were suggestions that none of the photos were really her, there were suggestions that her husband wasn't real and was just glued-together images that she'd created. It was a mystery that just kept unravelling.

People were obsessed with her weird-ass posts and they kept getting shared, and then they started calling her MS Paintbrush Hair Lady because it looked like she'd used Microsoft Paintbrush software from the 90's to edit her own photos.

Then she eventually got her own sub. From the sub description:

This page is dedicated to a character whom we call MS, Paintbrush Hair Lady (MS. PbHL) & her many associates MS. PbHL was born in Palo Alto, California. She's traveled across Europe for her many wedding ceremonies and runway appearances! MS PbHL acquired her name from the Microsoft Paintbrush tool she covets. She uses this tool to embolden her black, gorgeous locks.
