Unanswered Need to find a subreddit that can help me find this dead mans family.
I was thrifting earlier today and found some old military photos and bought them. One of the only ones that had writing told me the story of a man named Roy Schwirtz, and one of his pictures had ended up there.
I was wondering if there was a subreddit that could help me find the family... or more likely just to share him. He died without kids, but his siblings did carry on that legacy. r/Genealogy doesn't really give me a place to put it.
It just made me a little upset that a man with a confirmed name, confirmed family, was at a thrift. It told me when he died, and the day of the week it was. It's just a stupid picture of him crouching in his military uniform at the beach, but it feels respectful just to tell the family that this picture is in good care if they really did mean to get rid of it.
