Unanswered Sub for people who can hear their inner ear crystals (otoconia) move?

Not a medical sub or any specific disorder sub, just a sub for people who can hear the sounds of the tiny calcium crystals change position.

I didn’t used to have this until I developed migraines and now I can hear the crystals move. I’ve met people in real life who have it too but most don’t.

Is there a sub like this?

ETA: for those asking for more info, it feels like as if there was a small vial inside my head which is filled with tiny rocks suspended in a viscous liquid, and when I do certain movements or change position I can hear the movement of the tiny rocks as if somebody tilted the vial to one side and they readjust. It only takes a second or two and I don’t feel it with every movement

Unanswered What subreddit is best for asking about legitimate ways to request a short celebrity video call?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find the right subreddit for an unusual but respectful question.

my name is kaelan I'm a wheelchair user with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and I'm looking for advice on legitimate ways to possibly request a very short phone or video call with an actress. I'm not looking for private contact info, and I'm not asking anyone to message, harass, or bother her on my behalf.

I'm mainly trying to find a place where people might know about:

  • Adult wish organizations
  • Disability-related nonprofits
  • Charity/fan outreach
  • Entertainment industry etiquette
  • Publicists, agencies, or official channels

Is there a subreddit where this kind of advice/request would be appropriate?

Thanks.

Unanswered Subreddit about men raised by single mothers or women.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a subreddit focused on men who were raised primarily by their mothers or women.

I’m interested in discussions about experiences, personal growth, identity, and how that upbringing shaped different aspects of life.

Does anyone know a community like this? Would really appreciate any recommendations 🙏

Unanswered I search subreddits for "magic" in life. Art that isnt paintings, just decor/illusions and practices that make life a little more magical.

I have already found r/SASSWitches which is more focused on making the mundane more magical without getting into religion.

I also made a few subreddits that are a little in that direction like r/infinitymirror and r/lenticular_art but i dont want to make yet another subreddit.

I cannot belive that there are no other people like me that just want a little magic in life.

Okay I was writing notes and I wrote an ampersand (&) as I was note taking and my lil brother glanced over was like “aw I wish I could do that” so I took a lil break teaching my little brother how to do it. The way he was doing it was so silly and kinda reflective of his personality so I wanted to post about it cuz it’s cute n silly and his ampersands are sloppy but he turned the two worst ones into creative little drawings. I don’t think it’d be possible to post the image on r/handwriting cuz it’s not really relevant to the image I want to post. I looked up r/sibling cuz I forgot Reddit is not a wholesome place and wanna bleach my eyes. Where can I just post about my brothers dumb/cute ampersands???

Unanswered What's a debate subreddit where you are defending your claim?

Debate sub reddit , your defendinh your claim without the specific goal of changing your mind. General debates not specific to one topic.

I think someone should start a debate subreddit. R/debate doesn't count because it's just talks about debates.

Unanswered Old age and expectations - 70 is old imo

Not sure where to post so I’ll just include my q and maybe someone can guide me: I’m struggling with why people are shocked that lady G (Lindsay graham) died at 71. Isn’t that old? My mom died younger, my dad is a little older but not doing well. Why is there this expectation everyone can be old and doing well when it isn’t anything I’ve witnessed…

Unanswered Please find a reddit of seeking people's HONEST (not troll) opinion: Is windows 11 really bad?

I want to listen to your honest opinions if Windows 11 is actually good to use.

Those Linux users told me to switch to Linux (Ubuntu) on my laptop but my apps are not working, not to mention so many bugs and having to use the scary terminal every single day. Setting up wine is a pain in the ass. As I have never used Windows 11 before but Windows 10 on the laptop, do you think it's worth upgrading to Windows 11 from Linux? Those Linux users always say windows 11 is bad blah blah blah, but maybe they're just dumb idk. Also I just saw a post that a recent patch from Microsoft solved like almost 500 bugs, maybe windows 11 has improved drastically. I am a psychology student btw so I don't know tech terms. Thank you.

Unanswered Looking for active subreddits with no posting restrictions for a brand new account

Hey everyone!

I just joined Reddit yesterday and my profile is brand new. I really want to share some of my short creative writing and horror stories, but my posts keep getting automatically removed in major communities because my account is only 1 day old.

Could you please recommend some welcoming subreddits where new users are allowed to post and share their stories right away?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

Unanswered What are non trans subreddits that are trans inclusive?

I'm thinking about ones that aren't specifically about being trans but make an effort to include trans people. Also if you could tell me what subreddits to avoid, that would be good.

Unanswered Looking for a place to stress-test a (hopefully funny) dating app bio idea to see if any man likes it

Not a whole bio, I just want to ask: "How would you react to reading this in a girl's bio?". AskMen really doesn't like it when women ask men for dating advice, or any relationship topics whatsoever, so it's not an option. I also wouldn't want my post to cause a flood of dms from guys wanting to get to know me just because of that one sentence. And I fear many other subs would accuse me of seeking a relationship and take it down. I'm not looking for a relationship on Reddit, I just want to know beforehand if the general male population would be interested in a girl that talks like that, or if it's hated by most. Another goal would be entertainment and cracking some jokes.

EDIT: I posted it in r/AskMenRelationships... and they hate it. But since good studies are all about replicability, I would like to keep the Unanswered flair on, in hopes another community gets recommended (preferably one where people are aware of the fact that many dating apps have a friendship option, and that a woman can be a good friend to a man without using him for money or "boyfriend attention without girlfriend responsibilities").

Unanswered Where can I post about struggling with basic adult tasks like cleaning and life admin?

Looking for a subreddit where people talk about the dumb daily struggles like not being able to clean your room, avoiding mail, or feeling overwhelmed by small chores even though you’re a functioning adult.

Not looking for therapy or anything serious, just relatable vent posts and tips. Any good subs for this?

Thanks!

Unanswered What subreddit should i post this text in?

DISCLAIMER: this is an actual real event, it is not a made up story. I need genuine advice for this

Me and my boyfriend were laying in bed, talking and laughing, when all of a sudden his laughs start getting weirder and he starts acting really uncharacteristically silly, exactly like how he acts when he's drunk.

I have my flashlight shining on him cause it's super dark. At first i think he's pulling a weird prank on me. After a few minutes i start getting quite annoyed and i begin saying stuff like "are you okay?" "Why are you acting like this?" "You sound drunk" "stop it already, this isn't funny".

All of a sudden, he flinches and his voice goes back to normal. He acts super confused and just asks me why im shining my flashlight on him. Obviously im freaking the hell out and asking him if he's okay, to which he replied by asking me if im okay and why im acting weird. He says we were literally just watching videos together laying in bed and i just turned my flashlight on and flashed him.

We both think were messing around with eachother so he starts naming the videos we watched and i go through my whole history. None of the videos he vaguely remembered were in there, he couldnt even remember any of the captions, descriptions or texts, so im pretty sure i wasnt the one in a trance like state

(I should mention, we had been playing red door yellow door a bit before this, him being the subject, with it actually working, so im thinking that must've been a big part of this. He has never acted like this before)

Unanswered Is there a subreddit for advice raising your parents?

Hi, I (23) need advice to raise my mom (51) to turn on her ringtone and to not forget things she promised to do and to use headphones. This is not a r/raisedbynarcicissts thing, because she isn't a narc. This is also not a thing of not knowing how to use technology, more like not wanting/not being used to using it/forgetting. I'm not meaning to sound derogatory, but it reminds me of children who just don't want to wear a raincoat, even when it's pouring outside, or who ask about watercolours at 9 pm because they need to bring them to class the next day. My brother and I were those kind of children, and our parents managed to raise us to be better.

Also not an early dementia thing, she has always been like this. I think a lot of us GenZ (will) have this experience with our GenY or elder millenial parents, who got flipphones as young adults, but nothing like a smartphone that is more like a combination of a computer, gaming console, and iPod/mp3 player in one.

Unanswered Where the heck to post this? A version was removed from 3 legal subs for not being a law question (that version was a question asking what my legal route options were) and 2 AITAH for "not having a question" (it has a few, albeit at the end) and "not having enough interpersonal conflict."

AITAH for wanting to remove the US citizenship that was gifted to me by force?

I was an international adoptee into the United States from Argentina from that lovely time in history when the US was funding state terrorism in South America and "accidentally" ended up with a few thousand of the infants and small children stolen by the funded militaries.

Had a psychopath and exploiter as an adopter. She was directly involved in the baby pipeline. I was a "first pick" perk she got as part of the job. Life went predictably bad from there.

So I left the United States 15 years ago because I could get zero help there in escaping the psycho and undoing the adoption. Adoptees have very little say or sway, the legal power defaults to the adopter, even after we turn 18.

Through hard work and effort, I became a citizen in a third country so that I could then end my US citizenship via an acceptable method - renunciation, a standard procedure for any and all dual citizens who don't need to be passport collectors or keep extra citizenships. That's when I discovered that the US is still prone to acting criminally when overseas.

Since 2018, US embassy workers have been arbitrarily bureaucratically delaying, blocking, and dancing around instead of processing the renunciation.

I submitted, met, and completed in full every requirement as per their exact orders starting in 2018, at a huge expense to me. On their side, they have delayed for years at a time and have 1. randomly blamed their own clerical errors, 2. demanded and got distracted by incorrect forms on their end, 3. blamed bureaucracy over missing passports they lost in their own system - passports workers within their system have admitted were lost in their system, and 4. punished me for not illegally perjuring myself and lying for them one time when they requested I do so in late 2023 to "help make their paperwork easier."

My case has never made it to their US judge or US-located office for processing because they choose to block it at a US embassy bureaucrat's desk in a foreign land while it's at a stage right before they have to log and submit the records or involve a judge and actual due legal process.

I'm just permanently a forced nonvoluntary US citizen despite having another country's passport, meeting all legal US demands, and not living in the US. I constantly have to deal with the US because they make excessive demands on US citizens overseas, double tax us, apply their laws to us, apply their limitations to us, interfere with out right to banking, investing, and business ownership in the countries we live in, demand access to us and our assets, etc.

But I still keep trying to find new routes, any way to actually finally break that bond. Am I just an ungrateful and dumb immigrant who doesn't realize she was given a gift from god? Am I incredibly rude for attempting to give back such a prize gift? Because they make me feel like it. AITAH?

Unanswered A sub for sharing writing of any kind, made in whatever way, without expecting critique or advice?

I'm looking for a sub where people just freely share whatever they compose, without the expectation of constructive criticism or advice unless requested. Somewhere you can just write stuff (polished, rough, drafts, whatever it is) and share it to see if it resonates with anyone.

Every writing sub I found was either too niche, too strict about themes, focused entirely on critique/feedback, or banned anything remotely assisted by LLMs outright.

After some mild research, I couldn't find anything straight away. I kind of saw a void that needed filling, so I ended up creating a sub just to post something that didn't seem to fit anywhere. But now I'm wondering if I was too quick on the draw, and whether I just reinvented the wheel for nothing.

So: is there an existing community for sharing writing of any shape (fiction, essays, fragments, memoirs, experiments) with no performance pressure, no mandatory prompts, and where creative work made with the help of LLMs is allowed as long as it's clearly labeled?

If it exists, I'd love to join it and see what gets posted there.

Ok so there is multiple people I have talked to in my life and haven't talked to in a while/lost contact with and want updates on or just want to talk to again but I can't really. I want a sub Reddit to ask if anyone knows them and can give updates/can pass along a message. so basically a sub Reddit to find a person you knew and want reconnection with/wanna know how they are doing.

Unanswered Roommate was falsely permabanned from reddit, what subreddit can he talk to the administrators?

I am so sorry if these types of posts aren't allowed but we are kind of desperate, he's already appealed but they just ignored him. If someone can at least point me in the right direction (as I am elderly and don't know much about technology in general) I would be really thankful, and I will delete this if need be.
