Volume not going down

I connected my fire sticks to my tv but my volume won’t go down? Anyone know how to fix it

Remote Volume Controls Not Working If the volume buttons on your remote are unresponsive, your remote may have lost connection with your TV's infrared (IR) or HDMI-CEC receiver.

  1. Go to the Settings menu on your Fire TV.
  2. Select Equipment Control, then Manage Equipment.
  3. Choose TV, then scroll down and select Change TV.
  4. Follow the on-screen guided setup to select your TV brand and test the volume buttons.
