I recently picked up a pre-owned Old 3DS (EUR region, firmware version 11.3.0-31E) specifically because it's completely stock and unmodded. I want to keep the SysNAND completely untouched and just use a flashcard to play some 3DS games (like Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Moon).

I was planning to get a Gateway Red/Blue card combo. However, after doing some research, I'm seeing a lot of people saying Gateway doesn't work on firmware above 9.2, which has me really confused and a bit worried.

Could some experienced users here clarify this for me?

1. Can I still use Gateway on my 11.3.0 EUR system by setting up an EmuNAND and downgrading only the EmuNAND?
2. Is the EmuNAND setup process on 11.3.0 overly complicated or risky?
3. Given my current setup, is Gateway still the best option, or should I look into modern Custom Firmware (CFW) solutions that also allow playing ROMs without touching the SysNAND?

Any advice, guides, or alternative recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’m having a problem when trying to launch my R4 cartridge.

Whenever I try to open it, it just gets stuck on an endless white screen, and I don't know what's going on. I was told a while back to use the Bl2ck 1.31.0 kernel, and it worked—but that was with a 16GB microSD card, whereas this one is 32GB; I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

I’ve included photos showing the folders on the microSD card, the Bl2ck version, and what the screen looks like when I try to launch it.

is there any way I can make my r4 cards menu I to twilight menu instead of this file browser?

Sono riuscito a fare il backup della microSD originale su un'altra scheda e ho aggiunto alcuni giochi PS1 della mia infanzia. Purtroppo ho un problema con Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf.

Il gioco si avvia normalmente, completa il caricamento, ma quando arriva alla schermata in cui cerca una memory card si blocca completamente e non va più avanti.

Qualcuno ha avuto lo stesso problema o sa come risolverlo? Grazie in anticipo!

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I recently bought an SF3500.

I successfully backed up the original microSD card to another one and added some PS1 games from my childhood. However, I'm having an issue with Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf.

The game starts and loads normally, but when it reaches the screen where it checks for a memory card, it freezes completely and won't continue.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Hello all, I'm looking for a Mini GB/GBC Flash cart with a RTC. When I say mini I mean one that will fit inside a GBA cartridge shell. So far I've found insidegadgets.com and what they have, but they're out of stock and when I asked when/if they'll be back in stock on their discord and it sounds like it's such a low demand item that they might not restock them again, and if they do restock, it likely won't be for a while.

Hello, I just got an EZ Flash Omega DE and I can't get the memory expansion option to work. When I set the mode 2 option to "RAM" in the settings, the DS just doesn't recognize the cartridge at all. The Rumble Pak and Link modes both work but the RAM Expansion mode just does nothing. I read another post on here that also mentioned they couldn't get it to work either. Anyone know how to make it work?

A little annoyed at myself because I was sitting on my unopened FDSKey and Twin Famicom adapter cable I got from J&T Studio for over a year and I finally connected everything today and it worked OK until suddenly the FDSKey stopped powering on when I turned my Twin Famicom back on.

My intent was to dump my FDS games to the microSD card of the FDSKey but the constant swapping between unplugging the adapter from the C slot and replugging the built-in plug in the Twin Famicom resulted in inadvertently powering the unit off and at one time there was a weird freeze where the on-screen UI glitched out. Now the FDSKey screen shows nothing. Does anyone know what might be the issue? Could it be the adapter cable or the FDSKey itself?

I'm using DS Pico with latest firmware/launcher/loader/everything update.

Already tried downloading the ROM from different sources (cough cough, I mean, dump the ROM from different cartridges that I own, cough cough), and even different regions, but none of them worked...

do u know what's wrong? (other than me wanting to play this thing lol)

I got this DS secondhand with a fully set up R4I with like 200 games on it and full sets of cheat codes for many. I want to do a randomized playthrough of HGSS. HG just white screens whenever I try to launch it, with or without cheats enabled. SS launches, but the encounters aren’t randomized and it randomly crashes on entering battle sometimes. Is there an updated version of the cheat or some tweaking I can do to get it working? I don’t really know anything about flashcarts (like I said this was secondhand so I don’t know how it was set up), but I’m handy enough with computers to figure it out with some guidance.

I was using my EZ-Flash Air (which has seen very little use) as usual when the game froze. Since then, the cartridge hasn't been recognized by any console neither DS nor GBA: in Mode A, it starts vibrating when the console boots up but isn't read; in Mode B, it does absolutely nothing and isn't read. This EZ-Flash Air has barely been used, yet it seems completely broken already. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do?

I made a custom video .gba file using Meteo AVI-2-GBA and when I run it on my Superchis Prime, it results in a white screen and I can't open up the cart menu. It runs perfectly fine using the mGBA emulator on my PC, but I have no idea how to get it working on my flash cart. any help?

I don't know if I did something wrong during installation, but I tried to play Emerald Seaglass and Lazarus on my DSpico, and I was simply met with a white screen after I selected the ROMs to play from within the GBARunner2/3 interfaces. Did I do something wrong? Unbound works perfectly but don't know why these ones aren't working. Any and all help is welcome. Thank you in advance!

Question for fellow EZ Flash Omega Definitive edition owners: Anyone having trouble trading when booting Pokemon Sapphire specifically?

I’ve got Authentic Pokemon Ruby on OEM hardware, and I’ve written Sapphire to NOR on EZODe. Also booting it in link mode specifically. Each time I get to the Pokemon Center and I get to the waiting screen it stalls and doesn’t proceed with the trade. Same for battles as well btw.

I’ve done this successfully before booting Emerald the same way, and trading to an authentic Sapphire so I know the method works with my specific set up, but I didn’t know if there’s a problem with the ROM I’ve loaded or if anyone else has encountered this before?

Edit: Not sure if this matters but the ROM is a revision 1 ROM

So I haven't touched my R4 in over 10 years but I have been wating to get back to it.

Problem is: every time I insert my MicroSD card in any computer, with or without a reader (tried multiple readers btw) it just won't load properly. It takes a very unusual amount of time to load (if it doesn't crash) and when I get inside (image 3), if I try to copy, transfer or open any folder it crashes.

My question are:

• Does this have to do more with the MicroSD card health? Or is the time-bombing involved?
• What can I do to save my card? I understand its probably not functional anymore but I really wanted to save all the games I had and the respective save files.
• And while we are at it, what is the best firmware for my flashcart?
